The murder of Ellen Gregory Robb six years ago shocked and angered the Philadelphia area.
Robb was beaten to death by her husband, University of Pennsylvania professor Dr. Rafael Robb, just before Christmas in their Main Line home. Robb pleaded guilty to the murder, which was sparked by anger over a pending divorce. Now, that brutal crime is again stirring strong emotions as Robb is set to be released from prison after just five years.
In a statement from the parole board obtained by NBC, Robb was told he is being released because he took responsibility for the crime and displayed good behavior while in prison.
