In biblical times they could be found on every street corner, preaching God's word to sinners in a rumbling voice and shining eyes. A new course opening this week aims to restore passed glory and train the next generations of Jewish prophets – for the first time since the days of the Second Temple.

"The Cain and Able School of Prophets" is not located on a high mountain or on the banks of a serene river, but rather in the heart of the southern Tel Aviv neighborhood of Florentine

School of false prophets opens in Tel Aviv :fixed

I believe that you're either a prophet or not. It's a gift, not something that can be taught.

I agree. When I read that the scripture about false prophets abounding came to mind. Maybe some will be genuine but I also think (I believe) it's easy to test them = by how often they're right > has to be 100% of the time (not some of the time or mostly)

A little off topic - I'm still getting used to the smlies but my absoluite favorites and most used on the old board were Bummed-guy and Thumbs-down. My 3rd most used was :sigh I'm pretty sure that was my facial expression at some of the things I've read over the years :lol

I also like thumbs up. I actually use that a lot "in real life" :lol

Sometimes when typing though it's hard to find the right one to express my feelings :sad

I agree, prophets are appointed by The Father. But, could it be a course of study of Old Testament prophecies to awaken them to the New Testament prophecies as a pathway to an evangelical awakening?

As an aside, the prophet school brings to mind the unofficial Binny Hinn School of Faith Healing and Theatrical Production. The subsequent graduate level courses from the Head Slap-Now Fall Down As You Are Healed curriculum are the finishing touches to a bright and promising future on TBN.
