The Senate early Saturday morning voted down a measure to cut aid to Pakistan until the country releases a doctor who assisted in locating Al Qaeda leader Usama bin Laden.

Earlier this month, the Pakistani doctor, Shakil Afridi, detailed in an exclusive jail-cell interview with Fox News how the he has been tortured by spy-service interrogators. That prompted Sen. Rand Paul, to renew his months-long effort to compel a vote on the bill that would freeze U.S. aid to Pakistan unless Afridi is released.

One of my Senators voted for the other voted against- both are Republicans. I actually expected Shelby to be against the bill and Sessions for. The opposite happened. I wrote both insisting they don't have my permission any longer to giver millions to these nations that act like our enemies. Like Pakistan. I usually like both Shelby and Sessions. I may have to vote for someone else next election.

Washington doesn't miss a chance to boast about the death of Bin Laden but won't help the doctor who made that possible :sigh

This could be because they are spineless and lacking of any desire to do what is prudent. They appear as insecure people who are so utterly co-dependent they cowerand hide from those who abuse them.

They are not people of conviction but instead are worthless sheep.

Could be wrong though.
