Can we please have a sarcasm font? :please

Just imagine how useful it would be, and how many misunderstandings it would keep from happening.

I'm sure you meant that in a :angel way . . . .

but I nearly snorted ice tea out my nose when I read that! :hysterical

That's the funniest concept I've seen anywhere - and I absolutely love it! And if a poster IS being sarcastic, it should be mandatory that he/she use it. :nod

Well, there could be a requirement that if one is using sarcasm, they'd have to use a particular color, like yellow, and would have to put that in bold italicized print, yellow, and maybe add a :tongue at the end of whatever they were posting.

Mm, maybe that's too much. :shrug

Whoa! Heh, we are all kidding around here! Nothing more than that . . . And certainly nothing ugly intended. :sigh

:wow

We were kidding, joking, around. No one was trying to hurt anyone, or cause anyone any distress.

In fact if I had known that it was going to bother you that much I wouldn't have started the thread, it would not have been worth the joking around and laughs. If I had had any idea it was distressing you so much I would have asked for it to be locked.

hmm... if it weren't for the other thread I'd think that her post WAS sarcastic... that's the type of thing you see sometimes.

I consider the whole episode with Baalam's (spelling?) donkey talking to be sarcastic and it was God doing it. So I'm confused... Christian's aren't allowed to be sarcastic? (If I recall we were sarcastic all over the place on the V. bulletin board.)

BTW I peeked in the questions and comments area because I was looking for the post about the avi's not working. I was curious if the problem was solved yet.

bopeep, please allow me to remind you of some of our rules:

Do Not Judge In An Unrighteous Manner - Determining that someone is less of, or not truly a Christian because of a perceived lack of spiritual gifts, worship style, observance or non-observance of holidays, because they are divorced or remarried, because of their political affiliation, they are experiencing various trials, or because you feel that someone who confesses they are saved by grace through faith in Christ, isn't, is not judging righteously. All members are encouraged to examine and judge doctrine held by other members in light of Biblical truth, but their salvation is a matter to be judged by Christ. (Jhn 7:24; Mat 7:1-2; Jhn 5:25-29)

No Name Calling Or Personal Insults - Name-calling and insulting a person is unChrist-like, unnecessary, uncalled for and will result in a loss of posting privileges. (Eph 4:29)

Do Not Be Abusive To Other Posters - Study, discussion and defending the truth of God's Word is strongly encouraged but rebuke those you disagree with in a spirit of gentleness as the Bible commands. If you find it impossible to get along with the members of this board, do not rant and rave (becoming what's known as a "drama queen"), simply consider finding another board that better suits your taste. (Gal 6:1)

The people in this thread were having fun, broke no rules and were enjoying themselves. If you would like to leave, you are certainly free to do so, but I would invite you to reconsider your remarks and remain.
