I'm not getting the hang of posting a comment after a quote in this new system. My comment ended up inside the quote. I tried to edit it by just eliminating the quote and leaving my comment, but then I couldn't find a submit button I decided to just delete the whole thing and exit, but when I checked back the original was still there. Help! |

This is a test. (And it worked, so let me see if I can write instructions - ha!) Okay, if you click on the Quote button at the bottom right of a post, it will throw that post into a box below where you can post your comments. It's sort of an upsidedown view (imo). You'll see: __________________ Blank box here w/Preview button below it ___________________ Box titled "Quoting:" (and the Quoting word is over on the far left) w/quoted post in a box below it. _________________________ If you want to post about the whole quote, you then put your post in the blank box. You can click the Preview button that's below the box you're posting in & it will show you the quoted post in a box and then your post below. If you're finished, scroll down past the bottom of your active post box, and the Quoting box, and after the Attachments stuff, you'll see Post Options with a box centered below it that reads Post Reply. Click that and the whole enchilada will post. _________________________ Note: You can edit things in the quote - like, if you only want to quote one sentence in a post, you can delete everything you don't want. Also, if you DO want to post comments directly in a quote, you can; you can make your post in color or in bold (see what I did to your original post) in that Quoting box. But, if you want to bold or add color, you have to use the html tags: [ b ] [ /b ] or [ color=red ] [ /color ]. (without the spaces). Edited by barb43, June 13, 2012, 11:57 am.

When you edit it will say "Edit Post" at bottom. It won't say "submit." Just clicking "Edit Post" and your edit should be saved. Took me a bit to get used to as well. Edited by Blessedx4, June 13, 2012, 12:17 pm.
