So let's hear it?

Bun toasted or not toasted?

What toppings?

Preferred brand?

I take Hebrew National dogs when I can get them, on a toasted bun with mustard and sometimes sauerkraut. OR with chilli and cheese (bun still toasted).

Yup, we're having hot dogs for an early dinner. :yum

Well, if I'm saving calories for something else, I'll get the Oscar Meyer turkey dogs. If I'm not paying attention to calories, I like the Hebrew Nat'l or Ballpark dogs. Or using brats instead. Toasty bun with a little garlic butter. Pretzel rolls with brats are good but hard to find the pretzel rolls. Spicy whole grain mustard. Shredded cheese. Pickled pepperoncinis. Relish. Sauteed onions.

Servant, I bet you could get some good pineapple, grill it and dice it small to go on top. Maybe finely chop some chili-lime Macadamias to go with the pineapple.

Definitely Hebrew National or Nathan's dogs when I can get them.
Untoasted bun.
Mustard
Cheese (nix the mustard if I can get cheese... hey, I'm from WI)
chili
raw onions (light on the onions though)

Even tho I'm from WI, I don't like brats (real WI brats). My DH and DS eat enough of them for me though.

Boy! do I love hot dogs.Unfortunately I can not have them anymore because I am sensative to sodium. It makes my blood pressure rise. Can't have that.Hot dogs are loaded with sodium.Although I would have to say that Hebrew National are really good.I could have my bun toasted or not toasted.I would like any of the following toppings on my dog:mustard, relish, onions, cheese, sauerkraut. :yum

I agree Hebrew and Nathan's are great tasting dogs. So are those sold under the Kirkland label at Costco.

Also agreed with all the topings mentioned. Sometimes I add an over-easy fried egg and bacon crumble to the chilli and onions.

Oh man now all I want is a hot dog. Nathan's, toasted (potato roll) bun, mustard, dredged through a side of baked beans.
Ever see the video "How it's Made" for hot dogs? Didn't eat a hot dog for a year after we saw it.
But they just taste so darn good.
Maybe I need to watch the video right now. haha

I love hot dogs!!! Especially the Hebrew, and some Oscar Meyer. Have not had any Nathans though. Will have to check and see if they are carried around here.

Toasted buns for sure with pickle relish and mustard.

And don't forget they can be slit length-wise and grilled/fried. Fit easy on toasted sour dough bread. Add whatever toppings you like.

Or, or, or, put inside a nice grilled tortilla with guacamole, onion, cheese, etc.

I love a good hotdog! The best I ever had were called Maple Leaf. They were natural casing and all meat.

Now, I do like Hebrew National or the Dietz and Watson natural. Nathan's aren't bad either. I like my bun not toasted, Gary likes toasted, I want just some good mustard and little onion. If it can go on a hotdog, Gary puts it! Oh, and cooked on the grill please! :hungry
