When roasted at 475 degrees, coffee beans are sometimes described as rich and full-bodied. But for the full-bodied person who is not so rich, unroasted coffee beans — green as the day they were picked — may hold the key to cheap and effective weight loss, new research suggests.

Interesting! My BMI is in the "healthy" range now, still it's good to keep my eye on this one. I live in the midst of the only coffee growing zone in the US. I'm sitting within 30 feet of coffee trees right now...

Well the latest on coffee is that people who drink at least 4 cups a day live quite a bit longer than those that don't. They did this test on a group of over 250,000 people keeping tract of them for years so they claim it is a very good sampling. I don't think even green tea can claim that although I do like green tea too. I actually quit drinking coffee when I first retired and ended up with health problems and my doctor encouraged me to drink it again and now my health problems have reversed themselves I doubt it was the coffee but it may have contributed to my hearts complete reversal without medications or surgery. The doctor said it was a miracle so I'll give God a lot of the credit too.

"The trial was conducted in India and paid for by Applied Food Sciences Inc. of Austin, Tex., a manufacturer of green coffee bean extract."

Unfortunately this study can't be trusted just yet. Independent research should be done, not research by the company that stands to profit from the results.

It took me awhile to adjust to white and green tea because I loved my coffee. The research I have done has shown that white tea has even more health benefits than green tea.I have been drinking the tea now for 3 months and I have lost some weight without doing anything different.
