Ingredients 1 C + 2 Tbs warm water 1 package yeast 1 tsp sugar 3 C all purpose flour 1 tsp salt 1 Tbs olive oil
Preparation I make this with a Kitchen Aid stand mixer - I'm sure it could easily be done by hand as well.
Instructions Pour warm water into a bowl. Mix in the sugar and yeast. Set aside for five minutes. Meanwhile, in stand mixer bowl, measure the flour and salt. Mix together. Pour the olive oil into the wet ingredients. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Place dough hook on mixer and mix ingredients together on speed 2 for about five minutes. Remove dough from bowl and knead by hand for a minute. Place dough in an oiled bowl and cover. Allow to raise until doubled. Punch dough down, and roll out into a long sheet (about 9"X14"). Roll the dough tightly and pinch seam closed. Place into oiled 9" bread pan and allow to rise until doubled. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire rack before slicing
