They say it's likely to be only for club members to begin with. It's a neat idea though. Problem I see is when you have a family or two sharing a suite of rooms some place like Disney World and the kids are running in and around. How could you let everyone's fingerprint open the door? (Makes me picture little kids 'going' in the doorway because they can't get in the room in time, if at all. Sorry - just a mom here. :heh ) |

Oh great. and my Mom is already paranoid about the cards. She keeps and shreds them saying that to give them back to the hotel is giving them info for them to steal your identity or some such . (she doens't put it in thouse terms exactly but that's how she comes accross) And speaking of that. sometimes we get extra of eachother's keys just in case... how would that work? |

Sharon, does your mother ever get charged for keeping the card? We stayed at a hotel 4 or 5 years ago (kind of an historic place, all remodeled & very nice) and Sweetie accidentally kept his key card. They called and emailed him wanting it back and charged his credit card for an extra day's stay. He sent it right back & they reversed the charge but we were really shocked about that. |

It is a neat idea, you won't have to worry about losing keys or the cards. |

One of the reasons that people love this is the convenience. That is why the MOB is going to be so widely excepted.People are not patient. They want it NOW.The MOB is going to make it so people will have everything instantly. |

Well we check out. we just don't give the cards back (well I would at checkout if they asked, but they didn't). This last time we had three rooms, and both my brother and I assumed Dad had checked out all three rooms. Then we are leaving (my brother and SIL were already downstairs) and my Dad turns to me and goes "Did you check out?" and I go :eek "No - I thought you did that" (because all three rooms were on one CC - my dad's) I've never had to check out when I was with my parent's before. So I thought - I'll bet J. didn't check out either. So we went downstairs and checked out both rooms. They didn't ask for the cards. I told my mom that someday the hotels will start charging for keeping the card (I was thinking like an extra 10 bucks or something) and she goes "I don't care!" |

The place I worked a couple of years ago used a finger print for a time/punch in clock. You had to scan the thumbprint and then punch in your employee ID number. You had to do both or you wouldn't get paid. |

The rental dept next door to the realty office we work in has a set up like that - where you scan you index finger & punch in your ID number. Don't do it, don't get paid. No one seems to have a problem with it. |
