Hi, everybody! Jump in, the water's fine . . . What should we call this thread, here at our new digs?

I'm not sure the ND (Not Deceived) part carries over well . . . so many folks don't know the story & the guy who said the all of us at the original RR board were deceived hasn't been around in years. Chat Central was all I could think of, besides "Chat Stew" and I'm sure that phrase is copyrighted. :lol But, we can always get a mod to change the title for us, I'll bet! :nod

Hello again. Hope you don't get dangerous weather again, Barb. It sounds like ya'll have had enough for a bit.

We're just really hot and dry around here. After watering my garden last night I was about ready to die!

I'm trying to get dh to settle down and take it easy a bit :bat , but he is SO stubborn! He was putting bookshelves up on the library wall last night! The fool man has had a couple of heart attacks in the last month so you'd think he'd want to slow down a little. We're still waiting on the tests from the cardiologist.

:wave Afternoon y'all!

Barb, I'm glad y'all weathered the storms alright. It sounds like it was a wild couple hours. Praying y'all don't get a second round tonight.

Servant, I was watching it to and really enjoyed it.

Elac, I need to water my garden tomorrow if it doesn't rain by then. This heat and no rain already has it looking stressed. I'm still hoping we don't have a repeat of last year :hot

I'm excited this morning! That's good, it's the first time I've been excited since I got fired last Tuesday! :giggle

I sent out two resume's via e-mail yesterday and had responses from both offices in my in-box this morning. :thumb One of them is not currently looking for staff but will keep me resume on file (that's ok). The other office says that they will be contacting me soon! :clap I've met the doctor before and he seems very nice. I don't know him well and don't expect him to remember me, though I suppose he might. He is friends with my first hawaiian employer, and that doctor is on my resume. I left that employer on good (hopefully! LOL) terms, the hours and work load got to me so I gave notice. I started at the new job before I finished my two weeks notice, but I still did the two weeks. That guy (he was the root canal specialist) is known to be a very demanding and difficult employer, so hopefully it works in my favor that I had a good term of employment with him.

Anyway, prayers appreciated if it comes to your thoughts. :):

I have been praying that God prepares the perfect job for me and leads me to it, as well as praying that God prepares me perfectly for the job He would lead me to. :pray

Lots going on here! Cathy, praying that you get the exact right job. And barb, that's crazy about the weather. I bet you're glad to get rid of the low life renters tho.

Dss is getting stronger, so we are going to venture out for the first time since the accident to go clothes shopping today. He gets the most awful nose bleeds, so I will be prepared. He also gets a bit dizzy, so I'm sticking right to him. Should be interesting if I have to catch him....li'l me with a 6'2" kid. But he weighs all of about 140 pounds, so I guess I'll be fine :giggle

I went back to the gym, and for the first time in over a week did a spin class :pant It's amazing how quickly you lose it if you don't use it :shame I felt great afterwards tho. I'm getting back into some serious training, so it's time to stop whining and start focusing

Simon and I have decided to get out of the house this afternoon.

We're going to ride the Hele-on bus downtown and go putter around the Farmer's Market. (Sharon, same one we went to with you.) Older son is off work today and might meet us down there. I don't have any specific needs, but will likely pick up some fresh fruit to nibble on and maybe something to build tomorrow night's dinner around.

DH will pick us up when he gets off work and we'll run Simon up to the theatre for rehearsal.

Then, it's more Hatfields & McCoys!

Hey Barb sounds like that was a bad storm glad you are okay. :hug We were hot over the weekend and today it got into the mid 70's. By Friday we will have highs in the upper 50's....... :bravo .

A fire started in the local landfill on Sat., and has been burning since then. Mostly because of the tires they use to line the landfill. They are just going to let it burn out. Sometimes it is bad. :pk They are telling people with respiratory issues to watch any time they are outside.

Hi, all! I painted about 2/3s of the long wall and 1/4 of the short wall in our bedroom. When I finish them, they'll need a second coat. I'm really pleased with the paint - it's thick, and bright white (unlike that chalk water I'd tried to paint with before).

High in the 50s - ?!? Wow, Carmen! We'd think winter had returned. :lol

Had a sale that didn't close today - the buyer walked 15 min. before we were due at the closing table. Buyer went by the house this afternoon & the front yard was full of thugs. They got loud & mouthy with him. He decided he should leave before somebody got shot. (That's the clean, non-censorable version of the story.) I can't blame the buyer - he didn't know how he'd be able to remodel that house if he had to contend with folks like that daily. I feel sorry for the seller - I'd like to see him get his properties sold. So tomorrow we just start all over again with marketing this house. Seller, who's out of state, has significantly dropped the price on this property. Hope it sells fast. :\

We had a huge storm just southwest of us around 6 o'clock and we were directly in its path, but it must have fizzled out because the sun came back out. Yay!

Hmmmm, our outing didn't work out. Bus didn't come or else it was REAL early. We were at the bus stop about six minutes before it was due, and we waited for about an hour. Oh well...

Hello all, sorry that I have not been around much the past month or so. Many things going on here and just have to find time to log on and all.

Praying that everyone is finding the new digs pleasant and engaging.

Barb :eek I think I'd walk out on that deal too! That's horrible! Is there anything that can be done? (though I admit the first thing I thought of as a solution would be to sale the house to the thugs....)

Cathy: awww. I wonder why they don't have buses closer together? Maybe another time.

I just checked my blog - it went from 0 views to a big spike of over 10 views. :lol

Funny thing.. one of the sources was from prophecyfellowship.org. There shouldn't be a link there anymore. the other top sources were from here and from google. Wonder if someone was googling some of the sites I bloged on?

Anyone from here read it or was it all strangers?

I'm going to start blogging more oftin. Even if it's on just little things. :)
