Hi, everybody! Jump in, the water's fine . . . What should we call this thread, here at our new digs?

I'm not sure the ND (Not Deceived) part carries over well . . . so many folks don't know the story & the guy who said the all of us at the original RR board were deceived hasn't been around in years. Chat Central was all I could think of, besides "Chat Stew" and I'm sure that phrase is copyrighted. :lol But, we can always get a mod to change the title for us, I'll bet! :nod

Cathy: My reaction to your post: GASP! Oh no! (no really I said that out loud).

Did this have to do with that other dentist? I remember when he went nuts and left that you were afraid they couldn't keep you on.

:hug I'm sorry. :(: :pray

No Sharon, unfortunately not. One of the doctors thought that I was rude on Friday.

Really? Geeze - that sounds like something that would happen to me. I'm not good at customer service and have become afraid of needing to call people due to having something similar happen in a job once.

To bad they can't just give you a reprehend or something. I HATE feeling like I'm walking on eggshells and I can't be myself because someone may "think I was rude".

I'm sorry - I hope you are able to find a job with people who can relate to you.

Praying for you to land a new job and land on your feet, soon, Cathy!

Hi, Sharon . . . Hi, Stacy . . .

Sure can relate to your story about the job that should take a few minutes but ends taking a lot longer than that. :lol I've been threatening to pack away winter clothes for a month but Sweetie kept saying no, no, we'll have another cold snap. Well, think we're past that at this point so this weekend I'm getting out the space bags. :thumb

Y'all have a great day!

Morning everyone, oh wait it's after 12pm, good afternoon everyone.:wave

Cathy, I'll be praying that you find a new and better job. I'm so sorry that happened to you :hug

Barb, I waited this long to put them up because we kept getting some days that were down in the high 60's. I still have to wash the blanket collection on my bed and put them up. I have enough blankets on their to supply 3 beds but their all shoved to one side right now :lol I let the house get down to around 53 degrees at night in the winter and sleep under a pile of blankets.

Thanks y'all! :):

Right now I'm waiting for the phone call that my last check is ready to be picked up. I'm anxious to get it and be done with it.

I've comforted myself by finding a new recipe to try, but my check is so late (and the food takes so long to prepare) that it's too late today. Oh well, hopefully the phone will ring soon. We can get something quick and easy for dinner tonight (I'm thinking crackers and laughing cow cheese and hummus) and get my ingredients so I can cook tomorrow. I'm going to attempt braciole. If it turns out well, I'll share the recipe. :):

Hope you got your check. ... And hoping you get the other job.

Getting my hair cut at lunch time today. Nothing drastic, just taking a couple inches off of each layer. It's getting kind of long down my back so think I'll get the last 3 or 4 inches cut off there especially. Not sure if I'm going to color it this summer or not. This gal has just gotten her license - she's the daughter of one of our fellow Realtors. I told my Realtor buddy I'd give her daughter a shot at doing my hair just for fun. :):

Y'all have a great day!

*peeks in*

You know I noticed that the threads don't go BOLD when a new reply is there like the old board. :(

We had a good rain last night. I was down in the basement getting water for my snakes. Just as I went to open the door..... BOOOOOM! I was like *meep* :peep

Hmmm... I just went to preview and relized there is no preview button either. :pout

Anyway when I left this morning there was a plucky little bird (sparrow? ) sitting on the front birdbath - totaly ignored the car backing out. :lol

Have a nice day.

....
oh wait... THERE's the preview button.

:wave Hi y'all

Servant, I hope you've gotten that check by now.

Barb, I don't blame you for waiting to color your hair till you find out how good the new hairstylist is. I hope the cut comes out great!

LadySharon, send some rain my way but keep the lightening :lol

I'm trying to figure out how people who call early in the morning know when I've had a bad night. They always pick that morning to call :wha Me right now ---> :zombie :coffee Maybe I'll wake up after lunch :nod

Sharon, to be able to preview, you have to be in Full Reply Screen mode. ;):

Thanks, Stacy. And yes, Emily gave a great haircut! She cut it dry, which I prefer, and she took the time to run her fingers through my hair & get to know it a little bit, and she cut it the way I asked her to cut it. :D: I'll be going back to her again. She's not quite 21 yet, but will be soon.

Off to show one of my listings in a minute. (I'm excited -hope they'll make an offer. It's just a $26,500 house, bank-owned, needs work, but it has so much potential. :nod )

edited to add: think I need to look through the smilies and see which of my favorites are missing and ask a kindly mod to add them. Like ;): and :becky
(Love that big beaming Becky grin!)

Sitting here hoping some of the bad storms will miss us tonight, some have straight line winds.

Cathy hope your check is ready tomorrow and are you going to share some of those new goodies with us?

Barb better post a pic of your new cut.

Hope you had a better day Rainbow. I never like it at work when I am still in drinking the coffee mode and the 2 PT's I work with come and give me the patient assignments for the day.

Took the cat to the vet today. He had all his shots, and I had the vet dose him with the "poison" you put on the neck. It kills all parasites, great stuff, but he always acts so betrayed when I do it. Now, I'm the good guy who let him out of the carrier when we got home. :pound

He even took a nap with me after rolling in some dirt, outside.

Cathy, I know you weren't happy with some of the safety procedures at the old office. I'll be praying for you.

Thank you all very much, it means so much to me. :):

Got my check, sorry that it's the last but glad I got it and it's out of the way. We saw older DS and took him a sticky caramel roll for his birthday breakfast, gave him a little bit of cash. Wish we could have given more, but I'll remain scared till I find out if I can get unemployment bennies or not.

Trying out that new recipe tonight. It smells FANTASTIC, hope it tastes good! We invited older son over for dinner, but since I gave him that little bit of cash (he was broke and his payday is tomorrow) he might prefer to go enjoy his birthday evening in town with his buddies. :shrug

Either way, the braciole (pronounced like brajole) will be ready in about 1/2 hour.
