Hi, everybody! Jump in, the water's fine . . . What should we call this thread, here at our new digs?

I'm not sure the ND (Not Deceived) part carries over well . . . so many folks don't know the story & the guy who said the all of us at the original RR board were deceived hasn't been around in years. Chat Central was all I could think of, besides "Chat Stew" and I'm sure that phrase is copyrighted. :lol But, we can always get a mod to change the title for us, I'll bet! :nod

Good morning, all! :wave

Yes, I'm hoping Nita went to the hospital right away. I've heard for years that stoke victims have better recovery chances the sooner they get to the hospital. My dad had a series of small strokes in his late 60s and had only a couple of tiny lasting effects. One thing about this, is it's hit us square in the face (collectively as a group) that "Heh! We're getting to be of an age where 'things happen;!" :faint

We have an absolutely beautiful, very humid morning going on . . . .with this huge line of storms that's about as long as this state is tall barreling our direction. Should be here in a couple of hours. Blah! :lol (I just hope there really isn't any severe weather.)

That's a pain, Sharon! - the whole thing of not accessing the data base to being merged. :no

Cathy, I'm glad that your DH is healing well, I'll be praying about y'alls family dynamics.

Barb, I'll be praying for Nita. I hope she'll get some PT and follow through with it.

Lady Sharon, praying that you can still get your job done as easily as before.

Heather, sounds like your joining me in hibernating during the day for the summer. I think I hid in my house nearly all last summer and only came out as the sun was setting!

My continueing saga that is this years MD Anderson trip..... Yesterday started out O.K., got the blood work on time, then wandered over to get my bone scan done, which is when everything started going haywire. They were running almost 2 hours behind schedule. That meant I was late for my CT scan by around an hour, bad thing was that the CT scan was also running behind schedule, so even though my CT was for 1pm I didn't get out of there till almost 4:30. So the CT made me late for the MRI, and I didn't get out of there till 8.

Before leaving the CT I asked the front dest if my CT for today had to be rescheduled for this evening, I was remembering something about them having to be so many hours appart, they told me no come in for the time I was originally scheduled for. That didn't sound right so I went back to the CT nurses desk and asked them, they told me the same thing. So I showed up this morning, got called back to the nurses station, and was told...."There needs to be at least 24 hours between CT scans, we can't scan you till this evening." :doh :doh :doh I wouldn't have cared nealy so much if I was the only person being effected by them, or if I hadn't asked not one but 2 people in that appointment if todays CT was going to need to be done latter today.

I think God is showing me exactly how far I've come and how far I have to go in the patience department.

I just don't know... I'm tired of being the least important person in a marriage of three people.
You are married to two other people? :faint

Well, at least you've got a lot of patience! That has to be pretty frustrating though. :no Did you take some good books to read while you're there?

Very frustrating morning - some of it's been funny though. We went on our typical Tuesday morning sales tour and 1) couldn't get into the first house to show it at all - all 6 of us tried electronic keys on that high tech lockbox & no entry was gained; 2) almost couldn't get into the 2nd house because of the same problem, but my key finally opened the door. At that place, we walked in & set off the burglar alarm - & the listing Realtor, who was with us, didn't know the code to shut it off. I went to the box & talked to the gal from the alarm company, when she started asking if everything was okay. She gave us some time to try to find the code (lister was frantically calling the owners who were not answering their cells) but then she said she had to continue with her alarm procedures. She told me, "You have a nice day, Miss Barbara!" I said, "Thanks, you too!" and the alarm immediately began shrieking again. :pound 3) at the 3rd house, the electric had been shut off and it was real dark inside so we couldn't hardly see anything.

The other frustration is simply working in the field I'm currently working in. :no (This is a pitiful profession, period. Don't be fooled by any late night infomercials.)

Barb, that sounds like a crazy morning. I hope the rest of your day goes better! Sounds like you need as much patience as I do. :nod . I do have lots more patience then I used to but probably no where near what I should have. I pack books, water, snack (on the slim chance I can eat before a scan), and my crochet to come here.

Still killing time waiting to get my scan. At least they have computers for the patients to use. That's how I'm able to get on here :heh Well the sign says for medical research or personal business not for recreational use, but no one has ever said I couldn't be on here, the website isn't blocked, and no one is waiting to use the computer :thumb Doubt I could get away with watching Youtubes though, that just may be pushing it a bit to far :giggle

Barb, I would have jumped out of my skin when the alarm went off!

Rainbo, just think about hanging out at home, loving on your doggy! I often find it very calming to think of myself at home, petting the cat.

Cathy, I know a couple of women whose husbands have put a daughter in a place reserved for the wife. I had just the opposite, he put her in both our places! My Dad told me "Don't make me choose between you, because you will lose". :twitch Thanks. I had been trying to get him to admit things had been a little *unfair* for me, growing up. Anyway, that's all in God's hands, but it does hurt when you're rejected like that.

We had Korean buffet for lunch - lots of veggies fixed up kimchi style (and I love that stuff!), with a little beef bul-go-ki. It's rained off 'n on all day so it's gloomy & cool . . . We stopped by our house so Sweetie could pick up a clipboard of papers he'd forgotten and it was hard to leave - I could hear my bed calling me to "take that nap!" I'm sure the hounds would have been happy if I'd stayed home. :heh

Hope the rest of the day goes well for you, Stacy!

Think I'll get a contract submitted (it's only taken the govt. agency I listed it for 2-1/2 weeks to return the signed contract *rolls eyes*) and maybe go take that nap if it's not too late in the afternoon. :wave

Geez barb and Rainbo, you have had a rough go of it. Hope it gets better from here!

Cathy, I'm sorry that this is happening again. Praying more :pray

I've had a humbling experience that I'm smarting from at the moment. God has got me in a place that is very uncomfortable and a bit upsetting. I need to learn this lesson today and get past it. What I really want to do is whine about it :groan Leave it to me to want to do the least useful thing :imfine

Wow! Stacy and Barb - rough day.

Stacy - I hate it when stuff like that happens. I mean you go through all the trouble to check only to be told wrong. Did you tell them that the nurces from the night before told you different?

Barb- the alarm on my house went off a few times before I finalized the sale as well. Then there was a battery problem, so you'd go in and hear - beep. pause beep pause beep etc. It was driving me nuts, I had to have the alarm company tell me what to hit in order to get it to shut up until I could get the battery replaced.

Ok this thread is past 300. I asked this before and no one answered me.... are we going to set a set post limit (just on our own) and after X amount of posts start a new thread?

I think we should! After all, seasons will change, we'll have new things to discuss as a group, etc.

And besides, I'm tired of looking at that first post I made in this thread - at the top of ev-er-ee page of the thread. :heh

Why don't you start AG/Chat Central #2? And one of us can put a note like this below at the bottom of this last page in this thread. I think folks will "get it" and go to the next chat thread, don't you?

We could ask a mod if that's okay . . . or we could just act like ninjas and stealthily do it! Bwahahahahahaha!
(I think being out in the rain has affected my thinking abilities today.)
