Hi, everybody! Jump in, the water's fine . . . What should we call this thread, here at our new digs?

I'm not sure the ND (Not Deceived) part carries over well . . . so many folks don't know the story & the guy who said the all of us at the original RR board were deceived hasn't been around in years. Chat Central was all I could think of, besides "Chat Stew" and I'm sure that phrase is copyrighted. :lol But, we can always get a mod to change the title for us, I'll bet! :nod

I'm just happy my browser comes here when I hit "P". I'm lazy like that!

I feel like it's time to write out our story (Ron's & mine). It's going to be interesting.

Child abuse
Blindness
Brain damage
Tornado
Earthquake
500 year flood
2 hurricanes
Moving to Texas
Starting our own business
Ron hit by truck, me fighting to care for him
Setbacks!
Weight loss
Restarting our business
Closing the deli, praise God.
You get the idea... should be interesting.

The first line I've got "My Dad was my mother's sixth husband". :eek

Praying for your job situation to improve drastically & quickly, Cathy! :hug

We ran into some long-time acquaintances around lunch and they have quite a story going on. Due to some bad business ventures w/extended family members, they lost a lot. He & she ended up about this close >l l< to being homeless in a nearby state, but through a series of events, they are back here & slowly remodeling a trashed-out home. Wow. Things can happen pretty quickly. <-- They & their story have been on my mind all afternoon. They & we said, "Wow! We certainly have run into each other for some reason today!" We'll probably all figure it out in time.

Hope your dss's neuro appt went well today, moo! Have a good trip this weekend, even though it really isn't how you planned to spend your weekend.

Not having a lot of luck being focused this afternoon. Would rather be outside at home, working in my yard. :lol

Hi, Heather! :wave Think I had the screen up while you were posting.

Happy Friday all. :grouphug

Yes, nude is a color. :lol

Trying to get myself motivated to take a long walk today...
I think if someone asked me to paint a bedroom nude, I'd fall of my ladder! (wink ....unless it was my wife!)

Love from Canada

ok. I put two scoops (4 cups) of the new bird food into the feeder. It looks the same as the other one but has less sunflowers and seems to be mostly white millit. (if that's what the little round balls are called). The feeder is about 2/3s full and of course i spilled some on the ground trying to refill it so there is some there to. Will check in a bit to see if anyone has noticed yet.....

Accutally the bird bath is empty too (except for poo) I think I'll jet it out and re-fill it.

I haven't seen any news at all today, nor read the paper. Maybe I've been lucky! :lol

You know - cannibalism on it's own really doesn't bother me much. If the person is still ALIVE then that is just creepy. Otherwise... well the person is dead and that's the worst part. Torture bugs me more as well.

Well I already saw birds at the feeder... but I keep going back there so they don't stay. The sun is going down now, but I 'll see if I can get pictures or video tomorrow.

I just came in from gardening. I washed my hands and I STILL have dirt on them. I wear gloves when I need a grip or am pulling a sticker weed - otherwise I just don't feel very dexterous unless I can FEEL what I'm doing. I think it's a side effect of having lousy eyesight and a brain that doesn't always use my eyes. I mean ... I'm not very perceptive. I see... but I don't always SEE (if you catch my meaning.) So I'm used to using other senses. Now if I suddenly went blind this doesn't mean I could get around easily I do need some eyesight. Though I wonder if it would take me as long as some people to acclimate.

Heather, I've only counted 2 cannibal attacks, one up in the N.E. and the other in Fl.

LadySharon, I hate using gloves unless I have to. I try to remember to use them to spare my hands but half the time I don't lol. Yep I like to be able to feel what I'm doing. I dunno if I'm not perceptive or I just don't pay attention, but half the time something has to be painted pink with purple polka dots before I'll notice it. My brain ignores what my right eye sees (it's a long story) and I'm near sighted.

Minders

Hey all!
I'm going back through and reading and trying to catch up. Is it too late to join in?

I'm sneaking away for a few mins trying to do some service for my hubby for our anniversary that is just as sneaky as he did pulling off my favorite meal ever without me having a clue. :dance

I'm thinking of getting the kiddos to distract him while I get some tomatoes in the ground, followed by a tv day for him so he can relax. We've both been running crazy over the last 3 weeks so that sounds good to both of us!

21 years....wow, where did the time go? I still feel like I'm the same age as when we got married!

Night ya'll!!

:Rain rain rain.........so happy for that! We were on the verge of losing crops it was that bad. I decided to come to the cottage for a work (inside) weekend. Ripped the carpet out for pine flooring and painting the living room ceiling white.
We cut the big maple tree down in our front yard last year, so brought up a cord of wood for next winter. I still have about 3 cords left at home so I should be good for wood for at least 4 years.
Hope ya all are having a good weekend! :grouphug2 ( i love this emoticon)
