Posted Image Hi, everybody! Jump in, the water's fine . . . What should we call this thread, here at our new digs? I'm not sure the ND (Not Deceived) part carries over well . . . so many folks don't know the story & the guy who said the all of us at the original RR board were deceived hasn't been around in years. Chat Central was all I could think of, besides "Chat Stew" and I'm sure that phrase is copyrighted. :lol But, we can always get a mod to change the title for us, I'll bet! :nod Posted Image |

I get what is called 'scratch mix' at my local feed mill. It has alot of stuff in it that a variety of birds like and it comes in 30 lb bags so it last mostly all winter and I still feed them some even through the warm months. Cracked corn, sunflower, wheat, and some other types of seeds. Even the crows will come to the feeder. Some people don't like crows, but I got to know one really well years ago that had strayed onto our farm from a guy's house who was a scientist studying crow intelligence and they are crafty birds. I feed them all, big and small, and the scratch mix ( supposed to be for chickens) is way cheaper than buying wild bird feed at a regular store. |

Barb- you CAN set a title. :) So I filled the bird feeder last night. And it's empty again. I just bought a similar wild bird mix for 11 for 25lbs at a feed store. AND found out they have precious cat cat litter for 13 bucks (petsmart sells it for 16 - 14 if it's on sale.) Missy - My "feral" kitty is a goof. (well all my kittes are in one way or another.) She decided she HAD to get in the garage tonight. First time she didn't get in, second time she did. So I just let her be. Normally after 10 minutes I can open the door and she'll come right back. tonight? noooooo... She's on the car and when I open the door she looks at me and plops down in the middle of the roof. :lol So I wait another 10-15 minutes and open the door... *she's still up there*. It's like 80 in the garage. I'm like "Missy! come on now what are you doing?" So I go over and try to get her. She starts purring... scoots away and then rolles over on her side with a "look at me I'm cute" look. I finally was able to scoop her up. Just my dad randomly comes over to cut the lawn. he SOMETIMES tells me. Other times I'm sitting there and up goes the garage door. I don't want to discourage him because otherwise I'd have to mow - or pay someone - and I KNOW it's his act of love to me. but I don't want the cat to get out either so I think I'll mention it the next time and just gently remind him that though I don't mind him mowing.... if he could call first just in case. |

Cool, Sharon! How do I set a title? I can't figure out where to do it. Long day . . . You remember how bummed I was over that $7500 house not closing? The owner re-listed at $5,000 and I had a steady stream of Realtors heading over there to see just exactly "how torn up is it?" (pretty torn up, trust me!) 2 Realtors brought offers late afternoon & I just got off the phone with the owner - he's so happy right now. The one guy really wants the house so offered a little over full price (hard to believe, but it happened) & that, of course, is the offer the owner is accepting. I feel like I've been in a horse race this week! :pant . . . So happy tomorrow's Friday! :lol |

Night everyone, I'm late wandering in here today :bedtime. I hope everyone had a good day. Sharon, Missy sounds adorable! It's weird about how fast your feeder is emptying. I don't go through that many seeds even when I get mobbed by the lousy, no good, brown headed cowbirds. I try not to encourage them to hang around because they lay their eggs in other birds nest. IamHis, I"m gonna have to look for scratch mix, and see if they sell it in smaller bags lol. I feed the birds year round to, they seem to appreciate it in the spring and summer when they are raising their babies. Barb, I'll be praying that the house sells for more then y'all are expecting. Well my finger is doing good so I guess I didn't do any real damage to it :lol There went my excuse to eat, drink, and be merry, while doing no house work :pout Yard work is on tomorrow to do list. It's beginning to look like I'm growing hay for my nonexistent livestock. Maybe I should just buy a couple of goats and let them take care of it. :D: |

Stacy, Sweetie keeps threatening to get a couple of goats for lil Houston D. Hound Dog's use in honing his herding skills. I keep threatening to :fish him. :heh Y'know, tomorrow's Friday - no reason not to eat, drink, & be merry till Monday, hurt finger or not. :getdown I found it, Sharon! I just had to hit "profile" at the bottom left of a post. (I make things too hard.) |

No bears to worry about here. The birds have plenty of food, but I like to toss them a handfull of bread crumbs or oatmeal every now and again. They surely seem to enjoy the oatmeal when it's not raining. :laugh M'kay, I'm going to kick back and watch Big Bang Theory and do my toenails. :nails |

Barb: I see you figured out the title. :) That's neat about the house. The buyer knows about the thugs and stuff right? Stacy: Missy can be a brat :): She's really intelligent to. And she BITES me. (mostly love nips) She doesn't bite anyone else but I guess I'm special. Glad your finger is doing ok! Worst thing I've done to mine was very nearly cut the tip off, I stopped myself just in time. (I did cut myself though). As for the bird feeder - I dunno. I DO have it in a tree - and the tree is near other properties with trees - and I tend to have a bunch of birds in the yard anyway. In fact I had a flock of grey birds in my veggie bed (nothing has come up yet) that didn't seem interested in the seeds. I think they were looking for worms. Whenever I water I have a TON of birds out there. I know there is a roaving gang of sparrows to. OH and speaking of birds acting like they are staring in the movie "The Birds" - when I was at pearl harbor the birds there are UNREAL! there are signs that say don't feed the birds... but man you drop a crumb and you are MOBBED. My brother had a sandwhich and my parents and I were just coming up to the shop. He must have dropped some crumbs because there was about 10 birds by his feet. Mostly sparrow size, a few larger and a couple of pigeons. And he was trying to shoo them away - with the hand that had the sandwich - and this sparrow flew up - hovered in the air like a humming bird, and snatched a piece of sandwich! He moved after that. Then later, my parents and I were eating - AWAY from the snack shop that the birds tend to hang around.... and my dad dropped a piece of cheese. then some bread. And BANG we were mobbed by birds. I watched them. Someone would drop something and a bird or two would check it out. Then other birds would notice and it was a chain reaction, with more and more birds zoning in on the scene. So it wouldn't surprise me if the feeder was something like that. Though these at the pearl harbor site were not afraid of people AT ALL. |

Big Bang Theory is over. I did a full on home pedicure and my toenails are blood red. :thumb It's about an hour till I need to go pick up the boy, but I don't want to paint my fingernails. They're a lot harder to keep looking nice and I want to be interview ready. :): They are all filed though. Who knows, if I get bored tomorrow maybe I'll paint them nude. That one shouldn't be too bad to try to keep up. :shrug |

Cathy: I'm guessing that "nude" is a color - but at first that sentence sounded interesting.... I noticed that I can now access the site through prophecyfellowship.org :) Though I can also access it through the zeta boards link. Shouldn't it be one or the other? Just curious. |

Good morning, Sharon!
:wave Yes, the buyer must know characteristics of that neighborhood - he'd made a verbal offer before that had been rejected. His realtor told me he was determined his offer was being accepted this time. If he feels like that, then I'm happy he's buying the place. I have to get the last property that owner has here on the market and get it sold too. It's an old house in an old neighborhood, but it is rented by a group of young guys. That house isn't going to bring much money, and it won't attract many buyers but hopefully it will sell okay - I have a deal for it already, tho' it's not quite the amount of money the owner would like to get, just have to check on a couple things before I present the offer to the owner. I'm off to deliver Mobile Meals. Y'all have a great day - it's Friday! |

Happy Friday!! I took dss to his first follow up doc appointment after his accident yesterday. All is well except for one thing...he cannot go to altitudes of over 100 feet for two more weeks because he had air pockets in his lungs. The air pressure could collapse his lungs :eek Trouble is, we were gonna fly him to his mom's house in Sacramento this weekend. So now, instead, we are going to meet half way tomorrow. That means we are going on about a 9 hour road trip. I guess we can make it fun. Today I take dss to the neurologist about the brain bleed. I'm expecting a good report there too. Then we head down to San Diego to my favorite Japanese grocer to buy fixins for either sukiyaki or shabu shabu. Dss loves those dishes, so I will make which ever he picks. First things first tho. Time to hit the weight room. |

prophecyfellowship.org now points to the zetaboard technical (IP) address on the Internet DNS servers. Consider prophecyfellowship.org to be a 'shortcut' of sorts that says the same thing. |
