Biometric National ID Card Idea Back On The Table

'Mark of the beast' idea back on the table

John Whitehead, president of the Rutherford Institute, tells OneNewsNow that everyone seeking employment will be required to present the biometric ID, and employers will have to use scanners to verify citizenship.

"It will contain your fingerprint, your retina scan information, even a mapping of the veins in the top of your head and other information that is uniquely identifiable to you as an individual," Whitehead explains.

Personal and financial records would be included on the ID card as well, so the Rutherford Institute president warns that the idea could eventually result in government-issued radio frequency identification (RFID) tags which would allow the government to track people. If this bill is passed, the Rutherford Institute plans to file for religious objections.

It is all happening so fast now. It can't be long.

It's in a card now; it'll be in a forehead or right hand soon.

You're right--it can't be long now! We'll be departing this planet any moment now.

I'll take that bet. :Bump

And if I had a dollar for every post that ended with those words, I'd be...

I can think of a few, considering this "brands" you in a way. You become marketable, a quantity, a slave to the system. If you do not have it, you cannot work, you cannot buy, you cannot sell... you cannot travel.

FWIW, the only people that do not have to get it are Anabaptist groups that shun the government.

I think these AZ types of immigration etc laws will be used as an excuse to push for national ids. Soon everyone will be required to carry id and identify themselves on demand.

I agree with you---but it is tough to have it both ways isn't it? How does one offer proof of citizenship without some ID?
