We were driving DD#3’s van & had her 3 children with us, in their car seats on Friday ... a car was driving straight at us on the wrong side of the road & blinked their lights at us!

We were on the correct side with a ‘bout 6 foot wide devide that had grass & trees, between the side we were on & the other side!

Finally they realize d after we moved over & passed them, blowing our horn, that they were on the incorrect side of the road, as other autos were driving by them the correct way as we were!

Thankful to Jesus for protecting us all!

:bed Nighty night

:wave Hope you've all had a great day! Not as hot here today, kind of overcast & sticky. No rain tho'.

My goodness, the wild things that have gone on! :prsgod So good to hear your cousin's daughter was not harmed by that fluke accident, Mel. And so happy to hear y'all were okay, Jeanette!

Sauteed little pieces of salmon in a cilantro-lime sauce for dinner; Sweetie mixed up a broccoli slaw. It was delicious. The dogs couldn't believe there were no leftovers for them! They're really good dogs. I'm sure that salmon smelled good while it was cooking, and they didn't ask for anything till I was cleaning up the kitchen afterwards.

Gotta get up & at 'em in the morning ... See y'all tomorrow! :bed

Mel, I always tell my boy to stay well away from trucks mostly because they can't see you. You've given me another reason! Glad nobody was injured.

11 AM and we are already up to 97 degrees. The humidity is so high that the condensation drain on my air conditioner is putting out a steady stream of water. Usually it just drips a few drops at a time.

:hot

Hopefully tomorrow should be the last day of extreme heat for a while.

Wow, Mel! That's pretty extreme stuff!

Later: Feeling pretty crunchy around difficult people today, which has been at least a half dozen folks. Just wanna tell 'em to take their attitudes & issues and walk out of my line of sight, and get beyond my hearing range while they're at it.

May the toilet paper vandal strikes again (and she took some chunks out of the wall paper near the TP roller too):

It is 2:30 here now and we are up to 105 with a predicted high of 108 this evening. Humidity is 93%. Our area is under an extreme heat danger advisory through 8PM tomorrow, but then the next few days are to be back down into the high 70's / low 80's.

Oddly, despite the extreme heat and humidity the last few days, there are no storms in the forecast.

I feel bad for the mail carriers and others who have to work outside in this heat.

You have my sympathy regarding the difficult people.

An unusually high percentage of the customers at my work have been extra difficult to deal with the last few days too. I'm trying to be charitable and write it off as a reaction to the hot muggy weather we have been having, but my patience (and my temper) has been strained almost to the breaking point more than once.

Oh, that May! Maybe she was registering her dislike for the hot weather - ?

Maybe it's the weather making people hot under the collar -? I don't know, Mel. People were angry all around me yesterday: buyers, sellers, tenants . . . I'm on my way to small claims court to evict some bad tenants. The rumor mill has said those tenants have been shrieking around that they're going to tear up my house, steal all the copper, take the AC unit, and come to court with pictures to show the judge what miserable conditions I've made them live under - & their point to the judge is that they shouldn't have to move out. What sense does that make? I'm a little stressed about it, but trying to think through this sensibly. I just want to get to court and see what happens.

Hot again today. New England is no longer a refuge unless you're right on the coast where it's expected to be a tolerable 90. <sarcasm>
