The weather people were right about the rain yesterday. Several inches in a very short amount of time. We're on a hill. I hope they are wrong about the heat forecast but their track record has been pretty good of late. <sigh!>

Maria was talking with the neighbor across the street. He finally got rid of his tenants. They had people going in and out at all hours of the day and night. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out what was going on there. He hopes to sell once he completes repairs. The tenants trashed the place.

Mm, boy, Scott, can I relate. I filed this week to evict the tweakers - we go to court on Tuesday. I am praying they do not tear the house up or steal any copper components in the water heater, and HVAC systems. It's not like I can post a guard in the house, but boy, I wish I could.

All I can say right about now is that sometimes, "it IS my circus, and those ARE my monkeys." . . . some new goal setting will happen in my office this weekend.

And, one of my listings expires today. The seller is a sweet little old lady who owes nothing on this difficult to sell & finance property but couldn't get her to make any repairs on the garage, which is moldy about the first foot up all around the garage walls in an over-sized 2-car garage. Oh, and by the way, this is a manufactured home, with a HUD label (at least it has that!). It began life as a triple-wide in 1984. A wonderful permanent addition was added to either side of it, after a stem wall had been put around the original triple wide. The property is right at 2 acres in size, but it's a long, narrow 2 acres, not as appealing as it would have been if the house had been positioned otherwise. . . . The owner has decided to list it with someone else, at least another agent in the same company. I have mixed feelings - the place had several showings, by me & others and nobody bought it. I worked at finding a lender, as most won't touch a manufactured home & certainly not one this old. It'll be out of my hair - someone else's problem, and that's okay. But I sure hate to lose a listing, and to that particular guy agent -? well, that leaves me rolling my eyes. /rant

Must go pick up my sign & lockbox from THAT^^^ place this afternoon.

:wave How are y'all this afternoon? I'm exhausted - would like to take a nap, but I'm cooking dinner and then I'm going to AA birthday night with a friend who's picking up a chip. I haven't been to a meeting in years.

We had a terrible storm system pass through here shortly after 2 p.m. I had stopped by a tenant's to pick up rent and I hurried out of there so she could bring in her chicken dogs and I crept through town, heading home, because I couldn't see. The rain was blinding. Plus, I was nearly out of gas! Thankfully, I made it home okay. The temperature dropped about 25 degrees when the storms moved in. :lol

Hello! :wave

The temperature got up to 105 here this afternoon. I don't know what the heat index was, but it is so humid that stepping outside just took your breath away. And the next two days are supposed to be even hotter.

:hot

Since I got home from work this evening, May has hardly moved from in front of the air conditioner.

My cousin's teen daughter had a close call. She was driving behind a truck and a piece of metal came off the truck and through her windshield. Thankfully she was not hurt just shaken up.
