Sainsbury's is launching new 'touch-free' packaging for customers too scared to handle raw chicken. The supermarket announced the pouches were developed for millennial shoppers, who apparently prefer to avoid uncooked meat. The packs of chicken pieces, aimed at anyone under the age of 35, will allow people to put chicken straight into frying pans.
Sainsbury's said the move is in response to store surveys, which found young people in Britain have high levels of anxiety. "Customers, particularly younger ones, are quite scared of touching raw meat," Katherine Hall, product development manager for meat, fish and poultry at the retailer, told the Sunday Times . "These bags allow people, especially those who are time-poor, to just ‘rip and tip’ the meat straight into the frying pan without touching it."

Do those same meatophobes ever have to change their children's diapers? I would rather touch the chicken!

I was thinking that they clearly have no relationship with hot water and soap, if touching poultry and meats sends them into a tizzy. :ohno
