:Sob The hobby dog breeder buyer is driving me crazy. She can't afford these houses she wants to make offers on. We crafted an offer yesterday afternoon, and the sellers countered back at a few thousand more than she can afford. We are currently within about $1,500 and their Realtor is looking to get in touch with them to see if my buyer has "found" enough money to make the deal work. It's a doggone holiday weekend! She's about sucked the life out of me. I understand she needs to get into a place, but her situation is not my fault. :doh ... :take

okay, back to loading the dishwasher.

Barb hope a settlement is reached on the house soon. :hug Sit back and have a big glass of ice tea or cup of coffee and relax.

Record high today, was 97 the last time checked the temp. :hot

The birds started singing at 4:30 this morning. Love listening to bird song, but 4:30 is a bit early. So I turned the fan up higher and was able to go back to sleep for a couple of hours. :nightmoon

Tried to watch No Time for Sargent's, just wasn't interested in it. Kelly's Hero's is on later tonight. :nod

Memorial Day . . . Hard to believe we're this far into the year already! :freaked It's definitely summer out there, even if this is the "unofficial" start to the season. Supposed to be over 100 in a couple of days. I wouldn't mind if the humidity will dry up & blow away.

Little Leela came running into the house with a tick on her face this morning. I'm determined we're not going to have that problem go on this year, and I don't want to use harsh chemicals. Googling for natural solutions, I found a good recipe for diatomaceous earth dissolved in water and sprayed on the yard. Ordered some diatomaceous earth! :thumb

Later: I found a homemade recipe for killing weeds that uses a gallon of white vinegar, dish soap, and a couple tablespoons of salt. Gonna try that on some ragweed this week! :wink

Heading out to see if Sweetie has put the new grill together. We're cooking out this afternoon. later: He hasn't started yet, he's taking a nap - his allergies are bothering him.

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday!

Ticks! I don't know if it's the best way or even the right way but I get ticks off from our cat by coating the tick with lots of olive oil. I figure if it can't breathe it will let go. It has worked so far. He hasn't had any ticks for a few years being an indoor cat now.

Diatomaceous earth works real well on indoor ant and c-o-c-kroach infestations. I've heard that it's good for bed bugs too. Glad I never had to find out though!

Another record high today, 95 plus today. At least the humidity was not super bad like mid summer.

Jeanette how was the PBS concert??? Forgot it was on.

We had Tacos for lunch and that was filling. Driving back to Iowa City this afternoon it was not as heavy with traffic as usual. The highway patrol was definitely out.

I am tired today, the neighbors across the street had a party and they were still talking outside at 1 am and not being so quite about it. :gaah I so wanted to so over and say something. :mmph

Have a good evening all. :bed

Good morning! :wave

It looks like we are in for a very hot humid week here.

May seems to be greatly entertained by watching me install the window air conditioners.
