:wave Hi, Carmen, Scott, Mel, Jeanette!

I agree with you, Mel ... I don't believe the Holy Spirit is talked about, explained, preached on the importance of a relationship with, or in any other way involved in most churches I've attended/been a member of to more than the smallest amount. :sigh I had a really hard time grasping the Who/What/Why of the Holy Spirit. :ohno

No, Carmen, Sweetie was not in the military, nor was his father. He had 3 uncles, a cousin, and a cousin-in-law who were in the Army. I worked with 2 of the uncles, and the cousin, and the cousin-in-law, when I was in the Army. :lol Sweetie has his private pilot's license, but has had nothing to fly for about 20 years now. :eyeroll He needs a plane, and a check ride! :freaked

Had a blast in real estate today. The Army Capt I've been working with has an accepted offer on a For Sale By Owner house. We did all the negotiating this evening. We're all thrilled I think. :D: I'm heading off to bed because I have to have Sweetie at the outpatient center of the hospital in the morning to have that kidney stone finally removed. We're so praying this goes well, as large as it is.

Y'all have a great rest of the evening, if you're still up. :grouphug

:bed

I just got a copy of The Innocents Abroad, by Mark Twain. Y'all may know that people cite this book as proof that almost nobody lived in the Holy Land before the Jews started going back in the very early 20th century. Twain, while giving accurate descriptions, was still primarily a humorist. He succeeded magnificently in this book! One thing that made me laugh out loud was this (heavily paraphrased by me.) We owe a lot to the Catholics for our knowledge of the area. If they even suspected a biblical person of any importance had been to a certain place they built a monumental church on that spot. (Side note: Can verify based on the pictures Maria took in Israel last March.) Whereas if left to the Protestants we wouldn't even know where Jerusalem was. :pound

Great book highly recommended. Less than $4.00 on Amazon.

True, but I do sometimes wonder how many (if any) of those churches are actually built on the correct spot.

Even so, I would love to tour those historic Holy Land places someday.

Random thought for the day:

The sentence "The quick brown fox jumps over a lazy dog." uses every letter of the alphabet at least once.

I absolutely agree. That's a point I raised over and over while looking at all of the pictures DW and DS took. "Tradition."

I’ve discovered that deer love eating hostas! They r considered deer candy!
‘Been here 26 years, never noticed it before.

Yesterday, the hostas out front had lots of flowers, today none, except one tiny one that they missed. Must’ve been started...

‘Learned about this last week!
Guess since there’s more development & less woods around ...

Yes, it does, and back in the 50s, girls were taught to type that - over and over - so that they would learn the typewriter keys and could type without looking. My mother was very fast, and she began teaching me the typewriter when I was young - maybe 2nd or 3rd grade. I loved it! I was very fast too. :thumb

:hysterical That's pretty funny, Scott, but I do agree. You reminded me with your story of going to Juarez, Mexico. It's like that there. You find a lot more Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe de Ciudad Juárez than you find Primera Iglesia Bautista. :wink

Sweetie had that huge kidney stone removed today. It went well, and he's home beginning recovery. He has to go back to the doc first thing in the morning. It's gonna take a few days.
