:ohno I don't blame Maria for being upset! Facebook is really an awful place, for the most part. This is really sad that she's being treated this way. Can she set her posts to friends only? Sounds like her setting may be public so anyone can see her posts. Not that I am any facebook expert, especially not on security matters. |

Thanks, Jeanette! ... Thanks, Carmen! Any of you watch Svengoolie? He's quite a character ... hosts a scary movie on MeTV on Saturday nights. Tonight's movie was Ants! It was pretty good - real campy, but a cast of popular supporting actors with some people like Lindy Day George, Myrna Loy, Suzanne Sommers ... :thumb We're getting oranges & a lemon ready for the crockpot tomorrow. We're going to try our hands at making homemade orange marmalade. We're both excited about this. |

I've seen Svengoolie a few times. I'm not really into the scary movie thing, but he is a indeed quite a character. |

Good morning, all! Thanks, Mel. :hug . . . Thanks, Jeanette, for the idea of having a reflective week. :thumb I got up just before 5:30 & put on the orange marmalade. It's 1 lemon, a half dozen oranges, and the peels - cut into 'shards'. Actually, it's 4 lemons, but we had so much more peel than pulp that I cut up 2 more oranges but didn't cut their peels, we just had sooo much peel. You put the pulp & the peel into the crock pot and add 3 cups of water and cook it on high for 2 hours. Then you add the sugar and cook it on low for 6 hours ... There's another 2 hours on low after that, I think. The kitchen is beginning to smell citrusy. :D: Y'all have a great Palm Sunday! |

We had a nice service at church this morning. Unlike the last couple of years, the pastor at least acknowledged that it was Palm Sunday though the sermon was the continuation of his ongoing chapter by chapter study of the Gospel of Mark rather than a Palm Sunday/Holy Week themed message. I know that it is a minor thing in the grand scheme of things, but I really miss the way that both the church that I attended as a child and the Catholic church that I sometimes went to with Sharon made a much bigger deal of Palm Sunday and Holy Week. I especially miss how the aisles between the pews would be lined with palm branches and the people would be given palm leaves to wave during the service. It's funny: as a child I didn't see the point of all those seasonal traditions being repeated year after year and found them boring, but now that I am older they are some of my most precious memories. After church, I had lunch with my parents. It is the first time since November that my work schedule has allowed me to have Sunday lunch with them as had been our custom nearly every week for many years prior to starting my current job last fall. Most weeks, I am rushing to make it to the earliest service at church and then back home in time to grab a quick bite to eat before work. Edited by M. Hawbaker, March 25, 2018, 10:38 am.

I'm sorry to hear that she is having such a bad experience. Facebook can be a pretty bad place at times. I tend to not even look at Facebook's friend suggestions anymore as they are rarely anyone that I actually know anyway. Given the nature of some of the "random" posts that pop up on my news feed at times, I have often suspected that the software running Facebook is programmed with a distinctly antisemitic slant. |
