It's that time of year! Roving choir practice at our house. There used to be quite the mob, around 15, but over the years many have passed away. The 7 remaining can't sing a note! Truly, I have to bite my lip and keep quite about it because they are "doing it for the Lord. "

Big day tomorrow so in case I forget: :israel 70 years.

Well, the Psalm 100 does say to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord".

:wave Hi, Mel and Scott and Jeanette and Carmen, and Cathy is you drop by.

Happy Mother's Day to all who are celebrating. Miss May certainly looks happy on your table, Mel. :):

Quiet day at our house ... almost holding my breath that my buyer who is coming from GA will get an offer on her house today or tomorrow, so she can finally put in an offer on a house with some acreage that she wants to buy here. She's not one to ask God ... nooo, she's one of these people who sends "good thoughts out into the universe", and "the universe responds." :greeneyeroll She knows I'm a believer in the Father-Son-& Holy Spirit; she says, "yeh, whatever" to that. She's highly intelligent, and maybe that's the problem - she's "too" highly intelligent. Well, I enjoy knowing her, in spite of, & even if she drives me nuts calling me 3-5 times a day. I'm praying God will turn her towards Himself. Boy, is it gonna be a glorious day if she becomes a believer! :D:

:hysterical Oh, that was exactly what I thought of, Mel, when I read Scott's post!!! I hope the choir at your house enjoys themselves today, Scott. :thumb

Wow! 70 years ... hard to believe it's been that long. Praise God!

:israel Tomorrow would be a good time for the rapture as well as celebrating 70 years for the State of Israel.

Cool, cloudy, rainy day. Seemed more like a late day in March or early fall.

The traffic coming back was heavy, a lot of trucks. As fast as everyone was driving was wondering if we got into a car race or something. :laugh

God bless Maria and her choir group for sticking to the singing. :sing

Happy Mother's Day to all the MaMa's!!!

I'd like to be in Israel tomorrow! :thumb Gonna be in prayer for all involved in the opening of the American embassy too. :):

Glad you got home okay, Carmen!

Our son came over and visited a couple of hours this afternoon, which was fun. He's gonna be 29 on the 17th! :wow Hard to believe. I'm so proud of him. :D:

Okay - gotta get some dinner cooked. We're having kimchi fried rice, the leftover japchae, and maybe a couple of taquitos to go with it. :lol

Good morning! :wave

It is cool and foggy here this morning.

Yesterday evening after work, I had a nice Mother's Day visit with my Mom.

I also called Sharon's Mom yesterday and had a nice talk with her.

Yesterday morning at church, it was announced that our church may be splitting from the Brethren in Christ denomination in the near future due to the fact that many of the denominational leaders have recently come out in support of the doctrine of "Open Theism" that teaches that God's foreknowledge of the future is limited and that Bible prophecy is basically just His best guess at what is going to happen. These leaders are also pushing for acceptance of that heretical position to be mandatory for all future ordinations as a pastor in the denomination.

A conference is scheduled for a few weeks from now in which delegates from our church congregation and a few others that oppose this new position will be be deciding how to proceed.

Oh, Mel, that's so sad. I hate to see a church, or a major part of a denomination, go down the path of heretical thinking. :sad

GMA weather just showed some pictures of severe weather damage in Pennsylvania, but didn't say where it occurred. It looked like we were going to have rain after midnight but I didn't hear any falling and there's no evidence out back this morning that we had rain, so I don't know that we did.

Y'all have a great Monday!

Sorry to hear that about your church Mel. It seems to be happening to a lot of them these days, seems harder to find a Bible based church. :sad

Nice day here. Sunny and cooler. Gee tomorrow is the 50th anniversary of Charles city's F5 tornado. It just does not seem to be possible. The years just slip away.

Barb how is you hubby been doing??

Ya all have a wonderful evening.
