Hi! Happy Friday evening to all of you! :grouphug Are you guys having storms, snow, high winds, lots of cold temperatures? It was 74 degrees here at noon today, and at 3:30 it was down to 52. The wind was raging by then too. Now, it's down to 46 with a windchill of 37. Hope to stay inside all the rest of the evening. Great day. I went for my annual women's health exam, the last one I had being 4 years ago! :lol I stay up to date on mammograms, but my favorite gynecologists keep retiring! :confused How does that happen? Really like this young gal. She said I'm really healthy, just need to lose the weight. Yep, that's true. She made me promise I'll come back in a year to see her. I promised. :D: Well, I'm determined to make a store list tonight so I can shop tomorrow. The dogs need food, worse than the humans do. Sweetie has fixed oatmeal for dinner so I'm going to have a bowl and talk him into helping with the list. :wink |

Cue cracked record...Snowed again! It didn't amount to much, just annoying. I'm starting to like Medicare! With my old insurance my co-pays were as much as $75.00. Now they're $10.00. |

Ahaha Thanks, Carmen! I'm going to see if I can do some of that tomorrow. :wink Y'all, gotta tell you - death never takes a holiday. At breakfast this morning, I opened the newspaper and found an obit for Sweetie's favorite ex-BIL. He passed away Monday, while he was working, so we're guessing it was a heart attack. He'd just turned 72 on Easter Sunday. We were pretty bummed out about this - he & Sweetie were pretty close, years ago, and even he and I were pretty close for several years, but he moved a little further north of us and we drifted apart. And then, about 6:30 this evening, Sweetie got a phone call that his mother had passed away, apparently today, not real sure. He and she haven't seen each other in years. He's pretty much estranged from his family. It was still a good day, nonetheless. It warmed up to nearly 50, and the wind calmed down a little. As soon as the weather forecast goes off on the 10 o'clock news, I'm heading to bed. |

Hi Jeanette, Barb, Scott, Mel, Cathy and who ever else stops by. :grouphug Barb sorry to hear about dh's mother passing and your friend. They say it happens in threes. That is how it always seems to go at the NH. Well it looks a pillow fight is going on outside, big fat flakes are falling and ever so slowly. Have travel advisory for the rest of the night. Up to 4 inches. :snow By Sat they are saying highs in the lower 70's. Me thinks mother nature needs to make an appearance and get it all squared away. Saw God's Not Dead 3, :thumb another good flick. We were the only 2 in there this morning at 9:30. Of course most others are in church or getting ready to go. Have a Blessed Sunday eve. |

That's very poetic, Carmen! :D: It wasn't nearly as cold and windy today as yesterday, but it was still winter coat weather. :ohno Hope you're all doing well. We're doing okay. Tired mostly. Sweetie & I went shopping this afternoon, and it was fun. We went to Big Lots because they had coffee for the Keurig on sale, along with bottled water. Sweetie picked those up for the office. I also found a big rectangular fan, and I know we do not have one that works well, so I bought it, along with a jar of green tomatoes & red pepper salad, and a jar of garlic & artichoke bruschetta. These items were on sale, plus we got an additional 20% off everything today. It ended up that I got the fan for $3 off and the 2 jars of veggie yums were free. Sweetie ran into the same thing - the coffee was $4 off, and the water ended up being free. We laughed all the way to Sam's. We bought dry dog food there. Between the dry food I bought yesterday and what Sweetie bought today, we have 121.5 lbs on-hand. The dogs should have plenty of food for awhile now! :hysterical I finally made that big pot of chili I've planned for ever since Friday afternoon. :eyeroll It was delicious! We have enough left we can add a little to it & finish it off for dinner tomorrow night. :thumb Y'all sleep tight . . . I'm heading to bed early. :grouphug2 |

Good morning!
:wave Another cold morning here today with snow in the forecast for tonight. So far this Spring has produced more snowfall than the combined total of all the snows that we had during the whole Winter. :crazy At least it melts fast this time of year. Yesterday at church, the pastor's sermon theme was "Go home wet". There were 23 people who went forward to be baptised. This weekend my cousin's youngest won the 3rd place bronze medal in the county science fair, so she is moving on to the state competition. Posted Image Image hosted on Flikr.com Edited by M. Your photo is so right on Mel. We are suppose to have a cool down and more snow after a warm up and thunderstorms on Friday. :lol That is neat with all the baptisms at your church Mel. :thumb Dad liked to collect wheat pennies and always tossed them into a jar. We found the jars and went through them setting aside all the wheat pennies. Found an Indian head wheat penny dated 1907. Got excited about it and looked it up on the web how much it may be worth. Well a whole $10.00 if it was in good shape. Apparently there was a huge circulation of them and that is the low price. Oh well, cool to have one anyway. :lol Have a good Monday. :grouphug |

This is getting monotonous. Snow again. Just flurries. I keep telling Maria that this is New England and it really doesn't get warm here until June. Don't set your tomatoes out before the second week of May here. That's true but it usually doesn't stay this cold in April. |
