Enjoyed today: Some range time with DH & DD#3. I just fired four clips, saw that I can still hit a target, then left them enjoy. Afterwards, DD#3 & I went to a nice Italian restaurant and had lunch, while DH picked up pizza for grands, & Stromboli ‘s for him & SIL #3. Once we were back at their home, DH & I took their three kiddos to play miniature golf. (Ages 2, 5, & 6.) Thankfully, the two year was free as well as DH & I (retired veteran military ID), as I was just the boys caddie & DH was the 2 year old little girl’s child care pop-pop! Thankfully there were No injuries on grands , but DH got hit by a swing from one of the boys. He’s alright, just them there little guys r wild swingers! :lol Thankful a little bit of ice cream for everyone, then the boys wanted to do a two more holes, afterwards I was done & it was getting crowded with older folks then the grands ages, so we loaded them up into their car seats & headed back to their home! They had some peanut butter crackers on the ride back. Games of air hockey, table type foosball, & ping pong. ‘Would really like some of that energy young children have! :grouphug :bed Edited by warrior-child, March 10, 2018, 7:42 pm.

The last time it snowed here we got around 7 inches of the wettest snow I ever saw. Basically, it was 7 inches of slush. The snow blower couldn't handle that without clogging up every few feet and there was no way I could shovel it. So I struggled with that (and darned near killed myself) just enough to get one car out and left the rest. It is frozen solid. Now I see that we are expected to get another six to twelve inches Monday night! Not to put to fine a point on it, I'm screwed! The Toyota has 4 wheel drive. If I can get it moving I should be able to get it out by the time I have to go to the airport. Everybody is having a good time in Israel. If not for my niece posting up stuff to facebook I wouldn't have much of an idea what is going on. They all look very happy. Edited by Blackjack, March 11, 2018, 11:59 am.

That sounds miserable, Scott! :hug I don't envy y'all who have snow and ice, really, I don't. Sounds like you and your DH had a lot of fun, Jeanette! :thumb It's cold here this morning, and the wind is raging. But at least the sun is shining bright at the moment. The temperature is 46 and the windchill is 38 degrees. I have a showing at 2:30, and I really hope it's a nice house and the buyer wants it. We'll see. |

:cold That sounds rotten Scott with all that snow and ice. Hope you can get to the airport to pick the world travelers up. :lol So true Jeanette if we could only have the energy of the young. Guess we will have to wait until we get to heaven for that. :dance It sure sounded like fun with the grands. Did you all remember to turn them clocks ahead??? I didn't my bedroom clock because I wanted that extra hour sleep before getting up. Have a fun day all. :grouphug |

I've trained our cat! He has quit whining for food at all hours. As I explained before he now eats when I eat and at all other times I ignored him. Now that he is used to that idea maybe we can get him to lose weight. The vet is always on us about our fat cat. All that remains now is to train Maria and Jerry to ignore his bellyaching except at meal time. There's more! That cat has never liked being picked up. You can do it but he will only tolerate it for 30 seconds, at best. Now that I allow him on the sofa he parks himself as close to me as he can get and sometimes even climbs onto my lap for some good loving. I know what cats like and can give quality head rubs with the best of them. LOL! Maria is going to need retraining in this area too (paying attention to the cat, that is) but she's not a cat so I don't know if that is possible! The cat has gone from being "dumbass" to "my big boy!" |

That's precious, Scott! You've become that cat's "person". :thumb When are Maria, your son, and your niece returning home? It's turned into a pretty afternoon. I was outside for a couple of hours and enjoyed it ... still windy & cool, but not unpleasant. I'm whipping up a pot of pho for dinner. edited to add: Many of our clocks update themselves automatically, leaving just 3 or 4 we need to change. I changed 3 last night & Sweetie changed 1 this morning. We didn't miss anything yet. I'm determined to go to bed earlier tonight so I can get up early in the a.m. Edited by barb43, March 11, 2018, 4:14 pm.

Thursday, supposed to be 6:30 AM. Of course they must pass through customs and then catch the bus to the suburban terminal. I don't expect to pick them up any sooner than 9:00. I'm going to be really busy on Wednesday since I've been living the Life of Riley. I managed to keep the dishes washed and the cat box clean but the floors could use a good sweeping/vacuuming and all of the accumulated trash has to be taken out. It was snowing furiously last trash day so it stayed inside. Just as well, they didn't pick up anyway. Two days before they left I was supposed to go grocery shopping but I blew it off. I told Maria that we had more than enough to last me the entire time she would be gone. Boy! Was I ever right! I've barely made a dent in it. Seriously, with all of the canned goods and frozen foods I could go another month at least. We buy WAY too much food here. That's going to have to change. We'll have to make a list and stick to it. |

Hi, all! Ever get to that point in the day where you're tired of messing with people - people who don't listen, aren't easy to work with, are demanding of your time (like a 2 yr old is), don't follow directions - so you just wanna pack up your work & sneak down the back stairs & go home? Well, then you know how I feel this afternoon. I'm about smiled-out for one day. " :D: " when I really wanna do this: :emporer Okay, one more phone call and an email and I'm outta here - it's 5 o'clock somewhere. :ohno |

:hug Totally agree Barb. Those days could be :frusty head banging days as well. Unfortunately my sister had a day like that. She wished she could have had some headphones on and not heard half of what was said. :lala |
