Good morning, all!

Hope you're warm & dry ... if you're having warm weather, hope you're enjoying it! I'm looking forward to some at the end of the week.

It's cold and sleeting here. All the schools in this quarter of the state, plus North Texas are closed today. Ft. Sill was determined to open and operate like usual. Ha! They sent all non-essential personnel home at 11 this morning and closed the commissary. They may send everyone else home early this afternoon. I applaud their motivation - but this ice storm was about 100% certain thing.

The nsg home sent my mother to the hospital about 8 this morning. She was pretty out of it - couldn't understand things like standing up, walking, turning around, sitting down. Thought I'd call this afternoon & see what's going on with her.

Prayers for your Mom Barb. :pray2 Hope she is doing well.

My talkative patient told me he slept for a few hours yesterday after our session. :pound He says I lived up to my nickname of Attila the Hun. :rofl

We have a chance for freezing rain tomorrow and have a travel advisory for the counties to the south of us, which includes the county where the NH is I work at.

Have a great night all.

"Attila the Hun" - I luv it!! :hysterical That's too funny, Carmen.

Got a funny story from this afternoon. DS came by when he got off work at 3:30. He was fixing a burrito in the microwave and getting some trash ready to go out ... he heard the garage door go up & he knew that wasn't right. He beat feet right to the laundry room door as his dad walked in. He busted up laughing, told Sweetie, "I thought there must be some stranger comin' in the house & I wasn't havin' that!" We all cracked up. He knew his dad shouldn't be home till after 6 today, but the office closed down because of the weather a little after 3, so Sweetie came home not too far behind ds. I told Sweetie, after ds left, "that boy was gonna whip up on whoever the stranger was coming through the back door!" We laughed all over again. He's a good son!

My mom is apparently not doing too well. I'm hoping the roads clear enough tomorrow afternoon that I can go see her. We talked for about 2 minutes but she couldn't stay on the phone. My cousin called her and mom told her she's not in any pain, "those people" told her she can't stand up, but she doesn't think they know anything. :ohno Mom & my cousin, Shirley, are pretty close. I expect it did them good to get on the phone together. :winky

Good morning! The sun was out and shining on the frozen sleet all over the ground and roads ... it has since clouded up and we currently have a sleet thunderstorm moving across town. That's wild. My chicken dogs are all flocked around me begging for hugs. Poor hounds. Even FaithyJ and Houston are acting spooked. :ohno

I was given the nickname of Attila the Hun when I worked outpatient and it just kind of follows me.
I worked the same patient hard today also, he wants to go home as soon as he can so we had to step up what we do with him so he can go home when he wants. He was still wanting to talk more today than do anything else. :lol And they say women are the better talkers and gossipers. :heh

Barb hope you got to see your Mom today and that she is improving. :pray2

:hysterical Them poor little doggies, hope they all got the hugs and comfort they wanted.

We were to get alot of sleet and freezing rain but that seems to be staying to the north of us. Still have a chance of some overnight.

Hello! :wave

It was a cold rainy day here again.

I had the day off work, so I went to see my parents and had dinner with them -- Taco salads and cheesecake for desert.
