UGH!!!! 5-7 inches of snow for tomorrow now. Every time I listen to the weather they seem to increase the amount.

:wave Carmen, yes I grew up in the inner city of Philadelphia, PA!

When people say they r from philly, & I asked where, they state a burb! :lol

both my DH & I grew up in the “”hood”! Not the same one, but definitely inner city. Other than the four years he was active, we lived there until our move down south.

Thankful to live where we do! Midway between the cold of the north & the heat of being farther south!

For awhile there I thought that Tom Brady might have just one more handful of that magic dust in his pocket but it wasn't to be. I don't feel too bad about it. Props to the Eagles for getting the victory in an exciting game.

Good morning! Bright & sunny, but frigid out there. An hour ago, it was 16 degrees with a windchill of 3. I went out back with the dogs a few minutes ago & the wind has finally died down so probably about 20 degrees now & not much windchill.

Sweetie tested positive for Type A flu; I tested negative but she said between being around him & the guy who was in our office, I might develop it, so she prescribed Tamiflu for both of us. Well, I don't take all medicines well - and I just added Tamiflu to that group. I couldn't eat anything because I threw it right back up - that's a side effect of the Tamiflu. So, I'll take Mucinex DM or Coriciden HBP. I had a fever of 100.1 yesterday; Sweetie had a low-grade fever of 99.9. :greeneyeroll

I'll know I'm getting better when I can stay awake. I went to sleep at 7:30 last night; was up 'n down through the night; finally woke up at 8:30 this morning. I've got to get a contract sent to the closing company today; check into the Lawton Home Builders Association; and send an offer to a seller. Hopefully get it done before lunch. Then I may spend the day reading. :winky

Jeanette I bet it is real pretty where you live half way between the north and south.

Barb glad you and DH are slowly on the mend. So do you have a lot of problems with meds in general??

It is cold and snowing out. Up to 7 inches. :jaw Have been enjoying not having any snow for most of the winter.

Have good day all.

Hi, Carmen . . . That's a big snowfall! We may have sleet tomorrow, if it gets this far south.

As for meds, I'm the type of person that if 500 mg is the typical dose, I need to start out with 250 mg because that will probably be enough. If not, then add 125 to that. :lol I'm allergic to tetracycline, diphenhydramine, and anything with any form of ephedrine in it. And then, I run into something that's new, like the Tamiflu and when I didn't get a good response, I googled it. Nausea & vomiting were the first side effect that showed up. :shrug Fortunately, I've never had to take many meds, so I don't know if there are others. I do pretty well with antibiotics - basic -cillins and sulfa drugs both. No problems with the high blood pressure meds I've taken or synthroid. That's been about it.

My terrible headache is gone, which is the good thing today. :thumb

I wish Sweetie would start feeling better! He's having a diarrhea problem. I'm gonna make a run to the dollar store for some Pept Bismol this afternoon for him.

Later: I went to Dollar General, and I wore a mask over my nose & mouth - heh, I don't want to contaminate people and I don't want their germs either. The cashier didn't stop staring at me from the time I walked in till I checked out. I wondered if he was expecting me to rob him, or what. :hysterical

Good morning! It is so cold here ... 22 degrees with a windchill of 9. It's a bit breezy out there, and a beautiful heavy frost on the grass. It's looking like the freezing rain may go east of us today.

Y'all have a great day - stay warm, wherever you are!

:grouphug2

Later: the artillery at Ft Sill are firing a lot this morning and the dogs are afraid. They're sticking to Edward & me. I keep hugging Leela and telling her it's okay. I'm hoping they'll all go take a nap soon. :ohno
