Barb just for fun I went on line to check out the cost for Highlander, it was on 6 years. It costs &109 for 6 yr dvd set. I bet you could watch it online. :nod

No Robins yet, have seen them early Feb at the earliest. We are going to be in the 50's tomorrow.

It has slowed down at work, so will be able to get out and enjoy some of that lovely weather tomorrow.

:ctree It has already been a month, but seems longer at times.

:wave Most of the schools around this area are closed tomorrow due to the # of flu cases. It's a virtual epidemic across Oklahoma. We're thankful not to have caught it to this date. We're eating lots of healthy & spicy food. :winky

Carmen, that $109 is probably not a bad price for the Highlander collection, not that I collect movies tho'.

Totally disgusted with renters tearing up my properties. Would love them to be caught in the act by the police, but that's not likely. We were boarding up the house that was boarded up and I'm hoping we don't have to do it again tomorrow. I'm gonna crimestopper tip this bad guy who is terrorizing his mother and forcing his way into her apt; he's also breaking into my vacant apartments and using drugs. He needs locked up. He's also a thief - steals any bike he sees that's not chained up. I'm surprised no one has shot him.

Going to bed soon. I need the break!

I wasn’t able to sleep on Tuesday night, thankful that I did last night!

While being awake on tuesday night, I watched “National Treasure” ( the first one) and then “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead men tell no tales.” Both were on Netflix.

It's not quite so bad up here, yet. I had to go for blood tests yesterday and while there I sneezed. Did I ever get "the look!" I told the nurse not to worry, I don't have the flu.

One of my old army mates made a massive photo dump to Facebook. I recognized almost nobody. In fact, I didn't recognize myself at first. How is it possible to spend so much time with people and then totally forget them?

Good morning, all!

Scott, I think it's the passing of time. I wouldn't know almost anyone from 1979-82 who I served with. Maybe a half dozen people out of 300 that I knew back then. :shrug

We had almost a tenth of an inch of rain last evening. :ohno We may finally have some rain in early February. Not wishing for any torrential downpours, just some rain for the crops.

Y'all have a great Friday! I have to write a contract on bare land, and show a house this afternoon to my gal who has so far been beat out of the VA foreclosure and who the bank priced out of the short sale. That short sale house will prolly set there awhile - the bank decided to raise the price about $11,000. The appraiser blew that one, whoever he is. So ... I'm off! See y'all later.

What do you think of this description of this land? Listing Realtor wrote this (or copied it from somewhere):

Quote:

Where Hawks soar high and the air is free and clear ... a spectacular view of Mt. Scott ... with room to roam. Raise a few cattle, keep a horse or two around ... it's all possible in the country.
Makes me want to run right out there & buy that place myself! :lol

Later: well, the buyers have come and gone for another afternoon. I really like this couple a lot. She's a doctor of internal medicine; her hubby is retired, but I'm not sure from what. Both are funny, upbeat, highly intelligent people. We sat here together and I showed them my military 'get it done' side, dealing with the overwhelmed processor at the title company (she's new, but that's no excuse to be lazy) and then calling the good ol' boy who did the land survey at least 3 weeks ago but hasn't managed to complete the paperwork so he's holding up the title work in his own way too. Each was apologetic and promised to get on track with their respective jobs (somehow I'm skeptical :eyeroll ).

My buyers are purchasing an additional 13 acres of land just north of the 24 they already have under contract. That same surveyor is supposed to survey that acreage as well. Well, it only involves putting in 2 pins and drawing a straight line between them. He said oh, yeh, he needed to call the Mr. back and give him a quote. I said, "oh, he's sitting right next to me right now; would you like to speak with him?" No, no, no, he doesn't have the quote ready yet. Uh-huh. He's surveying for nearly 4 decades, I'd bet. He knows exactly what it will cost to go do that job. The buyers rolled their eyes & laughed after I hung up. Once we finished the purchase contract for the 13 added acres, they headed off to visit the surveyor's office. Gonna get that quote today! :pound

Happy Sat all. :roses

In the 40's today and windy which makes it feel colder out. Went for a walk wishing I had had a warmer coat on.

The flu is all around here as well, have heard of no school closings though. A friend lost her elderly mother to the flu last week. She had a lot of health issues as well.

:lol Loved your spelling of Mn Jeanette. So true they have more snow......we have none. :heh

Good afternoon! :wave

It's warm and sunny here today, but the forecast for most of next week is back down to below freezing temperatures with snow showers likely.

I finally gave in a bought a new Kindle Fire tablet. The old one that I've had since not long after they first came out still works OK, but it was no longer compatible with many of the newer apps that have come out in the last couple of years or the newer updated versions of some of the apps that I use on a regular basis.
