Good morning!
:wave It is 49 degrees here at 7:30 AM with a high in the mid 50s predicted for this afternoon. It has been raining hard all night. I'm thankful that it is warm enough for all of this precipitation to be rain and not snow or ice. |

My niece and her new husband have been posting pictures from their honeymoon trip. In one photo they got photobombed by a seal of all things. I didn't even know that there were seals in California. :shrug Posted Image Image hosted on Flikr.com Edited by M. Hawbaker, January 23, 2018, 9:08 am.

Sorry about your relative MEl. :pray2 :lol Funny to see the seal in the background of pics. Twenty degrees colder today and windy. This weather is just crazy, a person does not know how to dress anymore. And the wind has been bad on my natural curly hair. :drama Have a good afternoon all. :tea |

Hi, folks! Beautiful here today - no wind but lots of sun. :thumb I was outside without a coat a few minutes ago. I'm trying out "letgo", the app where you snap a picture and sell something over the internet. I've got a heavyduty small safe with a hasp. 2nd floor Tenants had cut a hole in the bedroom floor & stashed the safe there. It had a padlock on it, when we found it yesterday, but when Sweetie cut that off, the safe proved to be empty. I laughed - said, "oh, my goodness, what we would have done if we'd found a pound of pot in it?!?!?" :pound A first floor Tenant quickly said, "You could give it to ME!" and we all laughed even harder. No matter, we have no need for it, so hopefully it will go and fast. :): I love that seal that's hamming it up in your niece's honeymoon photo, Mel. :heh When my best friend was stationed in Monterey, CA I went for a visit and found that seals to be all over the place. They were pretty spoiled around the dockside restaurants. Owners had signs up advising the customers not to feed the critters. :D: Edited by barb43, January 23, 2018, 4:16 pm.

Posted Image This cat was sitting in the window of the old house next to one of my listings. I thought this cat looked pretty happy in that sunshine, so snapped its picture. We're having lots of sunshine & no rain . . . It's cold this a.m. but should warm up some as the day goes on. The fire danger is pretty high around here, and will likely stay that way till we have some significant rain. Hope any of you having the ice & snow ... and any ice jammed rivers that could cause flooding :freaked , will get some relief soon on your weather. (I knew sooner or later, I'd get that cat to a size that made sense so I could post him. :heh ) Edited by barb43, January 24, 2018, 12:04 pm.

I think hearing the ice cracking on the river is awesome. Several years ago the ice in the river back home was breaking up it was pretty cool to see and hear. Watching some river's on the news with ice jams etc is scary looking and all the flooding it causes. It is a nice sunny day with some nip in the air but will be back lower 50's in a few days. Barb it looks like your pic disappeared. :laugh Funny about your tenants and the pot if there had been some in the safe. :laugh :tea |

:eyeroll The contact lens that I put into my right eye instantly clung to the inside of my eyelid - eye must have been too dry. No, I have not been able to fish it out of my eye to re-install it. It's folded up in the upper right corner of my eye. I can see the edge of it, but can't get a fingernail on it to pull it down onto my eye, where I could do something with it. I'm going to the eye dr's office soon ... have a couple of things more to do here at the office first. Plus, hoping the guy shows up to look at the safe. :lol That safe has provided some good laughs, that's for sure. Edited by barb43, January 24, 2018, 12:09 pm.

Barb the kitty looks very regal sitting there. Watching a movie based on Highlander. I loved watching the series on TV with Dunkin McCloud. I swore I saw a little bit of green in some trees coming home today. It was only in a certain kind of tree. Hope it was not because there is a lot of winter left yet. Barb I use to wear contacts and I was having a lot of problems with them so I just gave up on them. I remember it use to take 15 minutes to put them in when I first started wearing them, I would get the contact up close to my and I would blink and the contact would end up somewhere, usually on the floor and then I would have to clean it again. :lol :grouphug |

I :heart 'd Highlander. I was thinking about that show a week ago and wondering if I could watch it on demand or something. I miss it. Never thought I could wear contacts, and didn't even try till I was 30. It was so easy (for me) - didn't bother me at all to stick that contact in either eye. This mess today was a first - I've never had a problem like this. The eye dr is a good guy - I'd not met him before but he & my usual guy split time in the office so I'm thinking each is sort of semi-retired. He numbed my eye with some drops, then stained it so things in it would show up. He washed out my eye with copious amounts of eye wash - had me holding a pad of paper towels and a handful of kleenex to catch that eye wash stuff so it didn't run down my neck, in my mouth, and all over my clothes. I had to laugh. I'd say he got it out! My eye feels much better - just a little bit irritated. He said fortunately he didn't see any cuts or scratches on my eye, it just looked irritated. :thumb He told me to come home & put my feet up, take a couple of Tylenol. :wink I haven't done any of that yet. :heh . . . oh, well, soon, maybe. I do feel like I've been gritting my teeth. :ohno edited to add: Carmen, let me know when you see the first robin. I'm going to start watching for them, even tho' it's kinda early, but if the weather is nice more than it's not, they may come back sooner here. I'm ready for the robins, what can I say! :lol Edited by barb43, January 24, 2018, 7:28 pm.
