Since the previous thread was nearing 900 posts, I decided to start a new one.

Ha! All I had to look up was how to spell his name. That's Eddie Gaedel. Bill Veeck signed him when Veeck was part owner of the Cleveland Browns.

Eddie Gaedel's story struck me as interesting so I had to post him. :lol

The Great Train Robbery, a 12-minute production. I'd love to see it. Not right now but I'm going to have to see if I can watch it online - youtube?

According to Wiki, our man is Justus D. Barnes, leader of the outlaws. In this picture, he is taking aim and firing straight into the camera (i.e., the audience).

This next guy didn't believe there were 4 seasons in a year. There was winter and one other that represented his favorite subject.

Have you read about his Disco Demolition fiasco? I loved that story as much as the Ed Gaedel story. Veeck was a one of a kind! :lol

I'm sure Scott knows this, but if you're not all into baseball, some of the rest of you may not know what Bill Veeck thought of the seasons. He believed there were only 2 - winter, and baseball. :hysterical

She wasn't hard - I figured she probably also had to be the first Native American woman to graduate from college, so that's what I googled and Dr. Susan popped right up at the top. :lol That's probably a great book that's being advertised - must have just been written.

Let me think of somebody to post and I'll do it, probably tomorrow.
