You've taught me too well, Scott! Grasshopper remembers this guy. :wink ... :heh

This is Moses Fleetwood Walker, right? Played in the major leagues, 6 decades before Jackie Robinson. Buried in Union Cemetery, Steubenville, OH.

This woman was a former congressional aide. She made many unwise decisions, including stealing money from a woman who had dementia. In her early 70s, she reported to prison recently to begin serving her sentence.

Linda Kovachik. I should have known Ohio was involved. Being an aide to Traficant was a bonus!

Lol Yes, I just happened to find her photo among all of Traficant's photos. There's even a grainy youtube video of her singing a song she wrote for Jim Traficant, which she could as easily sing about herself:

"Beam me up and set me free , you know they had it in for me,
Ten counts were held against me , I'm as sad as I can be"
There are a couple more lines, I think, but you'd have to see it on youtube to catch them, I guess.

This gent played the heavy in several Charlie Chaplin films usually while sporting very exaggerated eyebrows and mustache. Died young in a 1917 car crash.

That's right. I thought this one might take a longer time than it did. He played the waiter in Chaplin's film, The Immigrant (can be seen in full on youtube.) Very funny!

This singer was the real life inspiration for a famous cartoon character:

Uhoh. Google "Esther Phillips" and "Baby Esther" and see what happens.

:oops

OK, it appears that the photo is actually Esther Phillips, though the web page where I got it was about Esther Jones whose voice and singing style were the inspiration for the cartoon Betty Boop.

Evidently many people mistake Esther Phillips for "Baby" Esther Jones. I wouldn't have known but there was a web site that made that point. Do you want to go again?
