Okay, following WWII young diarists . . . This one survived being in 4 death camps before liberation by allied troops in 1945.

Her diary was not published until 2012. She was still living in 2013, but I don't know about now.

This lady was born in Prague, and after the liberation of the camp she was held in, she returned to the same flat and has lived there ever since. She is an artist.

A contemporary of Charlie Chaplin. One of many who wore the mantle of "King of comedy" over the decades.

Well, I kept getting so much stuff on Charlie Chaplin and even Jerry Lewis that I missed this man altogether.

This is Mack Sennett, who brought us "Mack Sennett's Bathing Beauties."

This man was a vaudevillian in the early 1900s, who became a silent comedy film star.

Mack Swain. He was in many Charlie Chaplin movies. I never saw him as the character in your picture, though.

You're right. I think he was portraying a Keystone cop in the photo above. I read in Wiki something about his playing in Keystone Comedies, so I'm guessing that's what he was doing in that picture.

I found this lady at the same time I was looking for Mack Sennett. At the time of her passing at age 106 she was the last surviving member of famous theatrical review programs on Broadway. She was in film too. After making several in the 1920s there was a 70 year gap before she appeared in another!

Better than even chance that she worked with Fanny Brice though I doubt in the same acts.

Of all of the follies in life the worst one would be over thinking this one.
