Since the previous thread was nearing 900 posts, I decided to start a new one.

Is this Fred Noonan?

Yep! I had to dance all around trying to avoid making any reference, however slight, to Amelia Earhart. He is barely known apart from her.

Well, it's crazy too - I only found him in one story, and there was his photo when I clicked on his name. But before that, I'd found his photo attached to Amelia Earhart as her husband, and as her father. I finally found out that George Palmer Putnam was her husband, and found a photo to go with him, and he wasn't our mystery man. When I finally found Noonan's name, and his photo, with a story of AE, then I stopped looking.

You're right, Scott! This was a hard one. :hysterical

Back with another aviator later - I've got one with a good story. :wink

A very dashing young aviator who had an interesting companion to fly with him while setting transcontinental speed records.

No, not Keeton or Chaplin (though he did appear in a few of Chaplin's films).

This man had a brother who was also an actor.

Wow! I thought I was well versed on old time movies, etc. This one...I haven't a clue! Still looking, not giving up.

This is another one that any really good clue would be a dead giveaway.

Though not as famous as his brother, he does have a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.

Is this Wesley Ruggles? I can't believe that I never heard of him. Seriously, when I watch an old movie, or any movie for that matter, I Google the cast and read up on every individual. Never came across him.

This was a hard one, Mel. :lol I had never heard of this man, and until I googled his name right now, I hadn't found this photo anywhere. Good one!

Former child actor. You might have seen him at this age. I'm going to say y'all definitely saw him when he was much younger.
