Deuteronomy 2:1
KJV 1 Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea, as the LORD spake unto me: and we compassed mount Seir many days.
ISV 1 "We turned and set out for the desert on the road to the Reed Sea just as the LORD had directed me. We traveled around Mount Seir for many days.

These are my thoughts.
We also need to go where the Lord leads us.

Deuteronomy 2:15
KJV 15 For indeed the hand of the LORD was against them, to destroy them from among the host, until they were consumed.
CAB 15 And the hand of the Lord was upon them, to destroy them out of the midst of the camp, until they were consumed.

These are my thoughts.
God is love but is also just and brings judgment.

Deuteronomy 2:16
KJV 16 So it came to pass, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,
CAB 16 And it came to pass when all the men of war dying out of the midst of the people had fallen,

These are my thoughts.
Death happens when there is war, we just have to trust God to see us thru our own battles.

Deuteronomy 2:17
KJV 17 That the LORD spake unto me, saying,
CAB 17 that the Lord spoke to me, saying,

These are my thoughts.
Often times today we do not know God’s word because we never open it.

Deuteronomy 2:18
KJV 18 Thou art to pass over through Ar, the coast of Moab, this day:
CAB 18 You shall pass over this day the borders of Moab, to Ar;

These are my thoughts.
When we follow God we will go places.

Deuteronomy 2:19
KJV 19 And when thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, distress them not, nor meddle with them: for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon any possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for a possession.

CAB 19 and you shall draw near to the children of Ammon: do not quarrel with them, nor wage war with them; for I will not give you of the land of the children of Ammon for an inheritance, because I have given it to the children of Lot for an inheritance.

These are my thoughts.
God gives to those who are not even His so having does not mean we are serving God.

Deuteronomy 2:20
KJV 20 (That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims;

CAB 20 It shall be accounted a land for the Rephaim, for the Rephaim dwelt there before, and the Ammonites call them Zamzummim.

These are my thoughts.
We see God again allowing for those who do not follow Him, showing His mercy.

Deuteronomy 2:29
KJV 29 (As the children of Esau which dwell in Seir, and the Moabites which dwell in Ar, did unto me;) until I shall pass over Jordan into the land which the LORD our God giveth us.
CAB 29 as the sons of Esau did to me, who dwelt in Seir, and the Moabites who dwelt in Ar, until I have passed the Jordan, into the land which the Lord our God gives us.

These are my thoughts.
When we serve God He will give us some things but the greatest gift He gave us was His Son on the cross for us.

Deuteronomy 2:30
KJV 30 But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him: for the LORD thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as appeareth this day.

CAB 30 And Sihon king of Heshbon would not allow us to pass by him, because the Lord our God hardened his spirit, and made his heart stubborn, that he might be delivered into your hands, as it is this day.

These are my thoughts.
Sometimes the Lord makes things seem impossible because this shows more of His power.

Deuteronomy 2:31
KJV 31 And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have begun to give Sihon and his land before thee: begin to possess, that thou mayest inherit his land.
CAB 31 And the Lord said to me, Behold, I have begun to deliver before you Sihon the king of Heshbon the Amorite, and his land: begin to inherit his land.

These are my thoughts.
When the Lord gives us things we often times have to go out to take it.

Deuteronomy 2:32
KJV 32 Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to fight at Jahaz.
CAB 32 And Sihon the king of Heshbon came forth to meet us, he and all his people to war at Jahaz.

These are my thoughts.
We meet many in our life but the most important One to meet is the Lord.

Deuteronomy 2:33
KJV 33 And the LORD our God delivered him before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people.
CAB 33 And the Lord our God delivered him before our face, and we struck him, and his sons, and all his people.

These are my thoughts.
The Lord is the great deliver and can bring us to overcome our enemies.

Deuteronomy 2:34
KJV 34 And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain:
CAB 34 And we took possession of all his cities at that time, and we utterly destroyed every city in succession, and their wives, and their children; we left no living prey.

These are my thoughts.
They did what the Lord wanted and did not let what they felt keep them from keeping God’s word; we are to keep God’s word regardless of what emotions we have.

Deuteronomy 2:35
KJV 35 Only the cattle we took for a prey unto ourselves, and the spoil of the cities which we took.
CAB 35 Only we took the livestock captive, and took the spoil of the cities.

These are my thoughts.
They took what the Lord allowed them to, we also should take what the Lord has to bless us with, and we should not feel bad about the blessings He gives us.

Deuteronomy 2:36
KJV 36 From Aroer, which is by the brink of the river of Arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto Gilead, there was not one city too strong for us: the LORD our God delivered all unto us:
CAB 36 From Ar, which is by the brink of the brook of Arnon, and the city which is in the valley, and as far as the mount of Gilead; there was not a city which escaped us: the Lord our God delivered all of them into our hands.

These are my thoughts.
The Lord was on their side and nothing could defeat them, this is the way we as Christians should be even when things bring us down nothing should defeat us.

Deuteronomy 2:37
KJV 37 Only unto the land of the children of Ammon thou camest not, nor unto any place of the river Jabbok, nor unto the cities in the mountains, nor unto whatsoever the LORD our God forbade us.
CAB 37 Only we did not draw near to the children of Ammon, even all the parts bordering on the brook Jabbok, and the cities in the mountain country, as the Lord our God commanded us.

These are my thoughts.
We need to follow God’s commands because this shows His is our leader.
