Deuteronomy 2:1
KJV 1 Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea, as the LORD spake unto me: and we compassed mount Seir many days.
ISV 1 "We turned and set out for the desert on the road to the Reed Sea just as the LORD had directed me. We traveled around Mount Seir for many days.

These are my thoughts.
We also need to go where the Lord leads us.

Deuteronomy 2:1King James Version (KJV)
2:1 Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea, as the LORD spake unto me: and we compassed mount Seir many days.

ISV 1 "We turned and set out for the desert on the road to the Reed Sea just as the LORD had directed me. We traveled around Mount Seir for many days.

These are my thoughts.
We are just wandering around and until we go in the Lord’s direction.

Deuteronomy 2:3

Deuteronomy 2:4
KJV 4 And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be afraid of you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore:

ISV 4 and command this people, "You are about to pass through the territory of your relatives, the descendants of Esau who live around Seir. They will be afraid of you so be very careful.

These are my thoughts.
People may fear us because the Lord who we serve.

Deuteronomy 2:5King James Version (KJV)
5 Meddle not with them; for I will not give you of their land, no, not so much as a foot breadth; because I have given mount Seir unto Esau for a possession.

ISV 5 Don't fight them, because I won't give you any part of their land, not even the size of a footprint. I have given Mount Seir to Esau as their property.

These are my thoughts.
We need to follow God’s instruction even if it prevents us from what we see as gain, our most precious gain comes from following the Lord.

Deuteronomy 2:6
KJV 6 Ye shall buy meat of them for money, that ye may eat; and ye shall also buy water of them for money, that ye may drink.

Deuteronomy 2:7
KJV 7 For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.

CAB 7 For the Lord our God has blessed you in every work of your hands. Consider how you went through that great and terrible wilderness — behold, the Lord your God has been with you for forty years; you did not lack anything.

These are my thoughts.
We do not lack anything when we have God; He brought us from our wilderness of sin and blessed us by His Spirit.

Deuteronomy 2:8 King James Version (KJV)
8 And when we passed by from our brethren the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, through the way of the plain from Elath, and from Eziongaber, we turned and passed by the way of the wilderness of Moab.
Deuteronomy 2:8

CAB 8 And we passed by our brethren the children of Esau, who dwelt in Seir, by the way of Arabah from Elath and from Ezion Geber; and we turned and passed by the way of the desert of Moab.

These are my thoughts.
It is important to remember where the Lord has brought us but we should not dwell there.

Deuteronomy 2:9 King James Version (KJV)
9 And the LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend with them in battle: for I will not give thee of their land for a possession; because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession.

Deuteronomy 2:9

CAB 9 And the Lord said to me, Do not quarrel with the Moabites, and do not engage in war with them; for I will not give you of their land for an inheritance, for I have given Ar to the children of Lot, to inherit.

These are my thoughts.
We are to listen and follow God not choose to make war with the world.

Deuteronomy 2:10 King James Version (KJV)
10 The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims;

CAB 10 Formerly the Emim dwelt in it, a great and numerous nation and powerful, like the Anakim.

These are my thoughts.
Powerful nations have come and gone but the Lord remains.

Deuteronomy 2:11 King James Version (KJV)
11 Which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites called them Emims.

Deuteronomy 2:11

CAB 11 These also shall be accounted as Rephaim, like the Anakim; and the Moabites call them Emim.

These are my thoughts.
God counts everyone if they don’t count on Him.

Deuteronomy 2:12 King James Version (KJV)
12 The Horims also dwelt in Seir beforetime; but the children of Esau succeeded them, when they had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead; as Israel did unto the land of his possession, which the LORD gave unto them.

CAB 12 And the Horites dwelt in Seir before, and the sons of Esau destroyed them, and utterly consumed them from before them; and they dwelt in their place, as Israel did to the land of his inheritance, which the Lord gave to them.

These are my thoughts.
We may receive an inheritance here on earth but it is far better to have Him so we can receive a heavenly inheritance.

13 Now rise up, said I, and get you over the brook Zered. And we went over the brook Zered.

Deuteronomy 2:13
CAB 13 Now then, arise, I said, and depart, and cross the valley of Zered.

These are my thoughts.
Most of the time following God will involve movement on our part.

Deuteronomy 2:14 King James Version (KJV)
14 And the space in which we came from Kadeshbarnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD sware unto them.

Deuteronomy 2:14
CAB 14 And the days in which we traveled from Kadesh Barnea, till we crossed the valley of Zered, were thirty-eight years, until the whole generation of the men of war failed, dying out of the camp, as the Lord God swore to them.

These are my thoughts.
We have done something also to miss out on the promises God has given this is why we need Jesus so thru Him we can be blessed.
