Psalms 74:1

KJV(i) 1 O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?

ISV(i) 1 A Maskil of Asaph. Why, God? Have you rejected us forever? Your anger is burning against the sheep of your pasture.

These are my thoughts.
The only reason God ever rejects anyone is their sin and mainly the sin of rejecting Him.

Psalms 74:16
KJV 16 The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.
KJV2 16 The day is Yours, the night is also Yours. You have established the light and the sun.

These are my thoughts.
We should live out our day for the Lord because He gave it to us.

Psalms 74:17
KJV 17 Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.
KJV2 17 You have fixed the boundaries of the earth; You have formed the summer and winter.

These are my thoughts.
The Lord formed the earth and put everything into its place, no one else can give a valid claim to that.

Psalms 74:18
KJV 18 Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.
KJV2 18 Remember this: the enemy has defamed, O Jehovah; and a foolish people have scorned Your name.

These are my thoughts.
Those who are not of the Faith will make a mockery of it and those who are.

Psalms 74:19
KJV 19 O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.

KJV2 19 Do not give the soul of Your turtledove to the wild beasts; You will not forever forget the life of Your afflicted ones.

These are my thoughts.
Turtledoves symbolize peace we are not to allow our peace to be taken from us by this world and should not allow them to bring us down to a place where we should not be.

Psalms 74:20
KJV 20 Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.
KJV2 20 Look to Your covenant; for the dark places of the earth are full, the abodes of violence.

These are my thoughts.
When we see the awfulness of this world we can find hope in God’s promises.

Psalms 74:21
KJV 21 O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name.
KjV2 21 O let not the ill-treated ones turn back ashamed; let the poor and needy praise Your name.

These are my thoughts.
No matter what we are going thru, we are to praise the Lord; He can see us thru it.

Psalms 74:22
KJV 22 Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.

KJV2 22 Arise, O God, contend for Your cause; remember Your reproach from the fool all the day.

These are my thoughts.
One day people will have to answer to God, our only hope is to accept the forgiveness that comes with Jesus.

Psalms 74:23
KJV 23 Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.

KJV2 23 Do not forget the voice of Your enemies; the noise of those rising up against You is going up continually.

These are my thoughts.
We will continue to have enemies making noise against us because we represent the Lord they reject.
