Psalms 74:1 KJV(i) 1 O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture? ISV(i) 1 A Maskil of Asaph. Why, God? Have you rejected us forever? Your anger is burning against the sheep of your pasture. These are my thoughts. The only reason God ever rejects anyone is their sin and mainly the sin of rejecting Him. |

Psalms 74:2 KJV(i) 2 Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt. ISV(i) 2 Remember your community, whom you purchased long ago, the tribe whom you redeemed for your possession. Remember Mount Zion, where you live. These are my thoughts. We do not need to lose track of how God has made us. |

Psalms 74:3 KJV 3 Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary. ISV 3 Hurry! Look at the permanent ruins {—} every calamity the enemy brought upon the holy place. These are my thoughts. The enemy only brings ruin. Edited by clark thompson, August 22, 2014, 7:51 pm.

Psalms 74:4 KJV 4 Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs. Psalms 74:4 ISV 4 Those who are opposing you roar where we were meeting with you; they unfurl their war banners as signs. These are my thoughts. As followers of Jesus we will face hate as this. |

Psalms 74:5 KJV 5 A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees. ISV 5 As one blazes a trail through a forest with an ax, They were removing anything in their path; some things need to be removed but some things God wants us to keep. |

Psalms 74:6 CAB 6 they cut down its doors at once with axes as in a wood of trees; they have broken it down with hatchet and stone cutter. These are my thoughts. Life without the Lord is a wreck. |

Psalm 74:7 King James Version (KJV) 7 They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground. Psalms 74:7 CAB 7 They have burned Your sanctuary with fire to the ground; they have profaned the habitation of Your name. These are my thoughts. The world will be evil. We as Christians should ourselves do we look more like the world or more like Christ? |

Psalms 74:8 KJV 8 They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land. LITV 8 They said in their hearts, Let us rage against them together; they have burned up all the meeting-places of God in the land. These are my thoughts. Allowing to react in rage often times will burn up some of the work the Lord has done by us. |

Psalm 74:9 King James Version (KJV) 9 We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long. Psalms 74:10 KJV 10 O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever? LITV 10 O God, until when shall the enemy defame You ? Shall the enemy scorn Your name forever? These are my thoughts. God has let Satan have his time but He will end it one day. |

Psalms 74:11 KJV 11 Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck it out of thy bosom. LITV 11 Why do You withdraw Your hand, even Your right hand? From out of Your bosom, consume them . These are my thoughts. Sometimes we don’t succeed as God wants us to because we stop following His path for us or try to follow that path without Him. |

Psalms 74:12 KJV 12 For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth. LITV 12 For God is my King of old, who works salvation in the midst of the land. These are my thoughts. Salvation is and has always been in his hands never in our own but only for to receive from Him. |

Psalms 74:13 KJV 13 Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters. LITV 13 You broke the sea by Your strength; You burst the heads of sea-monsters in the waters. These are my thoughts. We serve a God who has power over the ocean and all its creatures. |

Psalms 74:14 KJV 14 Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. KJV2 14 You cracked open the heads of leviathan; You gave him to be food for the people of the wilderness. These are my thoughts. God has provided us the earth so He could meet our needs; God is in control over even the things we are not. |

Psalm 74:15 King James Version (KJV) 15 Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers. Psalm 74:15 International Children’s Bible (ICB) 15 You opened up the springs and streams. And you made the rivers run dry. International Children’s Bible (ICB) The Holy Bible, International Children’s Bible, Copyright © 2015 Thomas Nelson Inc. All rights reserved. These are my thoughts. God has power over the water men can not say this, we can just work with the water He has given us. |
